The third season of Jujutsu Kaisen is packed with action thanks to the Culling Game, but the manga is telling a different story. The original Jujutsu Kaisen series has already finished, and now a sequel, Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo, is continuing the narrative. While creator Gege Akutami has been planning a big ending, the conclusion of the sequel series is arriving sooner than fans might think. Get ready to say goodbye to Yuka, Tsurugi, and Maru!
The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo will be released in Japan on March 8th. Fans in North America will be able to read it on Viz Media’s website a few days later. Viz has confirmed the finale will be available on Monday, March 9th – just one day after its Japanese release. Be warned: if you want to avoid spoilers, it’s best to stay off social media, as details are likely to spread quickly.
Will Modulo Hit The Screen?

Now that the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is in its third season, fans will probably have to wait a while before seeing the Modulo arc adapted. While not officially announced, if the anime continues to follow the manga, MAPPA will likely produce another season after the Culling Game finishes. One big question is how Modulo will be presented, as the story currently only spans twenty-five chapters – possibly not enough for a full season. Given the success of MAPPA’s other anime films, a movie adaptation of Modulo seems like the most likely option.
I’m really excited about Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo! If you haven’t heard, it’s a sequel that centers around the grandkids of Yuta Okkotsu and Maki – two characters we already know and love. But the biggest surprise? They’ve introduced aliens! And these aren’t just any aliens; they’re incredibly powerful, potentially even stronger than the sorcerers we’ve been following, which means a whole new level of danger for everyone.
Currently, it’s unclear whether the recent events mark the end of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, or if Gege Akutami plans to continue the story with future generations of sorcerers. Either way, the series has gained a large and dedicated fanbase, so many readers will likely follow Akutami’s work in the future.
