Lily Allen has the receipts, and it looks like she’s wearing them. 

British singer Maisie Peters kicked off her West End Girl tour on March 2nd with a striking outfit. She wore it while performing her song “4chan Stan,” which is about discovering old purchase receipts that reveal an ex-boyfriend spent money on other women.

In videos circulating on social media, Lily – who separated from her husband, David Harbour, in February 2025 – revealed a long, green silk sheet onstage. The sheet appeared to be covered in text resembling shopping receipts. She then wrapped herself in the fabric, transforming it into a fitted dress.

The costume perfectly exemplifies the song’s message.

In the song, released eight months after her split, Lily sings about discovering her ex took someone to Bergdorf Goodman on May 24th. She notes he bought this person an expensive handbag while she was in London, likely asleep. The lyrics hint at a painful discovery about her ex’s activities after their breakup.

And while her album feels ripped from real life, it shouldn’t be taken literally.

She told British Vogue in October 2025 that while some details about her marriage have been made public, not everything reported is completely accurate. She clarified that the stories are based on what happened during the relationship, but aren’t necessarily the full truth.

She wrote the album in only 16 days, using the emotions she felt after the breakup – like confusion, sadness, and feeling lost – as inspiration.
