Netflix has become a major player in animation, and they continue to release exciting new content. This year, fans can look forward to an animated spin-off of Stranger Things, set in 1985, and the return of Devil May Cry for a second season. While some animated shows eventually end, Netflix is also adding fresh content – surprisingly, they’re bringing over a popular series originally from Comedy Central, alongside the returning favorites.
The creators of the animated series Paradise PD and Farzar, Roger Black and Waco O’Guin, are planning a special crossover event to wrap up both shows. They launched a Kickstarter campaign for Paradise PD & Farzar: The Final Season Graphic Novel to fund the project, and they’ve already reached their initial funding goal! Now, they’ve announced that characters from another Comedy Central show, Brickleberry, might also be included, but only if fans help them reach certain stretch goals on the Kickstarter.

The Crossover You Never Expected

This Kickstarter project initially aimed to raise $20,000, and it’s already exceeded that goal. As of today, it’s nearing $35,000. However, to include the characters from the show Brickleberry, fans need to contribute even more. Adding the park employees from that Comedy Central series – which ran for three seasons from 2012 to 2015 and was created by Black and O’Guin – is a stretch goal set at $60,000. If reached, it would give fans a chance to see three storylines from that show finally resolved.
Even though it’s not a cartoon, this crossover is worth watching for fans of Paradise PD, Farzar, and Brickleberry because the original creators are deeply involved. The graphic novel follows Paradise PD as they travel through time and space to stop the villainous Charles Lovely and rescue Chief Crawford’s baby. Their adventure leads them to the world of Farzar in what’s being called a massive crossover – though the creators jokingly compare it to the classic TV pairings of Full House and Family Matters. The Kickstarter campaign aims to fund high-quality versions of the graphic novel, special editions, artwork from the creators, and other exciting extras the project deserves.
With 28 days left in its Kickstarter campaign, you can learn more about the project by clicking here. While Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed anything about a potential animated crossover, anything is possible!
