Netflix just released a first look at season 2 of ‘Beef,’ and fans will be glad to know the three-year wait appears to have been worthwhile.
The season begins with a Gen Z couple stumbling upon a heated argument between their Millennial boss and his wife, which unexpectedly starts a series of unforeseen events.
This installment marks a fresh path for the drama series, which launched in April 2023 with a highly praised story about the conflict between successful entrepreneur Amy (Ali Wong) and struggling handyman Danny (Steven Yeun).
Both actors won Emmys, Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild Awards, making their characters in the second season highly sought-after by top Hollywood professionals.
Cailee Spaeny, known for her work in “Wake Up Dead Man,” and Charles Melton, from “Warfare,” were cast as the younger couple. Oscar Isaac (“Frankenstein”) and Carey Mulligan (“The Ballad of Wallis Island”) will play their older rivals.
The new trailer for Beef season 2 offers a mysterious first look at what’s in store for the characters. You can watch it now, and all episodes will be available on Netflix starting Thursday, April 16, 2026.

The new episodes follow Ashley Miller and Austin Davis, two employees at a country club, as they get caught up in the complicated breakup of their boss, Joshua Martín, and his wife, Lindsay.
Both couples compete for the favor of Chairwoman Park, the wealthy owner of an exclusive club, using both gifts and pressure. Meanwhile, Chairwoman Park, played by Youn Yuh Jung, is dealing with her own personal crisis and a scandal connected to her second husband, Doctor Kim, played by Song Kang Ho.
Okay, so the faces might be different going into season two of Beef, but thankfully the creative heart of the show is still very much there. Lee Sung Jin, the brilliant mind behind season one, is back as creator and head writer. And I’m happy to report that Jake Schreier, who directed a lot of the first season and is now busy making a Marvel movie (Thunderbolts!), is also returning as an executive producer. That’s a really good sign – it means the same vision is guiding this new chapter.
