Cillian Murphy plays Thomas Shelby

Tommy Shelby is the former leader of the Shelby crime family and a one-time Member of Parliament. Known to fans of Peaky Blinders, the film finds him in exile, writing a book and living a quieter life. However, he’s pulled back into action with a mission to influence the course of World War II.

Besides playing Tommy, Cillian Murphy has appeared in a variety of well-known films. These include 28 Days Later, Cold Mountain, Red Eye, Breakfast on Pluto, The Edge of Love, and A Quiet Place Part II. He’s also a frequent collaborator with director Christopher Nolan, having starred in Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk, and Oppenheimer – for which he recently won an Oscar for Best Actor. More recently, he’s been in the critically acclaimed dramas Small Things Like These and Steve, and made a brief appearance in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

Tim Roth plays Beckett

Let me tell you about Beckett. He’s a truly dangerous character – a Nazi sympathizer actively trying to cripple Britain from within. His scheme? Flooding the country with a massive seventy million pounds worth of fake banknotes. It’s a brazen attempt to destabilize the UK economy and sabotage the war effort, and frankly, it’s chilling to watch unfold.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Tim Roth! Of course, anyone who loves Quentin Tarantino knows him from classics like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and The Hateful Eight. But he’s so much more than that! I was really impressed with his performance in Rob Roy – he even got an Oscar nomination for it! He’s also been in some really interesting films like The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover and Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes. And on TV, I really enjoyed him in shows like Lie to Me, Twin Peaks: The Return, and Tin Star. He’s just a consistently brilliant actor.

Barry Keoghan plays Duke Shelby

Duke Shelby is Tommy Shelby’s secret son, first appearing in season six. He used to be a thief but now leads the Peaky Blinders, turning them back into a dangerous and ruthless gang. Beckett tries to convince Duke to work with him and assist Nazi Germany.

Barry Keoghan has appeared in a number of popular films and TV shows. Some of his most notable film roles include Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin, Eternals, Bird, The Green Knight, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and Dunkirk. On television, he’s known for his work in Chernobyl, Top Boy, and Masters of the Air. He recently appeared in Crime 101, and is set to play Ringo Starr in an upcoming series of films about The Beatles directed by Sam Mendes.

Rebecca Ferguson plays Kaulo

Kaulo is the twin sister of Duke’s mother. She appears while Tommy is in exile and surprisingly knows a great deal about both his history and current life.

Rebecca Ferguson is a Swedish actress known for her roles in major films and television. She’s famous for playing Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible movies and Lady Jessica in the Dune films. She’s also appeared in The Greatest Showman, The Girl on the Train, Doctor Sleep, A House of Dynamite, and recently, Mercy. Currently, she stars in the Apple TV+ series Silo.

Stephen Graham plays Hayden Stagg

Hayden Stagg is a dock worker from Liverpool who appeared in season 6. He worked with the Peaky Blinders, allowing them to use him for trading and transportation.

Stephen Graham is a very successful and highly-regarded actor. He’s known for his roles in popular films like Gangs of New York, The Irishman, Venom: The Last Dance, This Is England, and Boiling Point, and he also starred in TV series based on This Is England and Boiling Point.

I’ve been a huge fan of Stephen Graham for years, and his range is incredible! He’s absolutely brilliant in everything he does – you might recognize him from shows like Boardwalk Empire where he played Al Capone, or more recently in gripping series like Line of Duty, The Virtues, Time, The Walk-In, Code 404, Bodies, and A Thousand Blows. I was thrilled when he won a bunch of awards for his work in Adolescence, he truly deserves all the recognition!

Sophie Rundle plays Ada Thorne

Ada Thorne is Tommy’s sister and used to be a socialist activist. At the start of the story, she’s now a Member of Parliament, having taken over Tommy’s position.

Besides playing Ada, Sophie Rundle is well-known for her roles in the Sally Wainwright dramas Gentleman Jack and Happy Valley. You might also recognize her from BBC thrillers like The Nest and Bodyguard, the historical drama Jamestown, and recently, ITV’s After the Flood.

Ned Dennehy plays Charlie Strong

Charlie Strong is a highly reliable and supportive member of Tommy’s team, always willing to help out when needed.

Besides Peaky Blinders, Ned Dennehy has appeared in a variety of other projects, including The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, Blitz, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, Downhill, Luther, Banished, Dickensian, Versailles, Broken, Outlander, and Shōgun.

Ian Peck plays Curly

Who is Curly? A stable boy and ferryman who is another of Tommy’s trusted allies.

While Ian Peck is best known for playing Curly, he’s also appeared in several other popular productions, including His Dark Materials, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and Robin Hood.

Packy Lee plays Johnny Dogs

Johnny Dogs is one of Tommy’s most trusted friends and isn’t hesitant to do what needs to be done, even if it’s unpleasant.

Besides his role in Peaky Blinders, Packy Lee has appeared in several other popular projects. These include the TV series The Witcher, Blue Lights, and Derry Girls, as well as the films Pixie and King of the Travellers.

Jay Lycurgo plays Elijah

Elijah is a new character in Peaky Blinders who has taken over as Duke’s right-hand man while Tommy is away.

Jay Lycurgo is best known for playing Tim Drake/Robin in the series Titans and Nathan in The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself. He recently received praise for his work in the Netflix film Steve, where he acted alongside Cillian Murphy.

The new Peaky Blinders movie, “The Immortal Man,” hits theaters on March 6th. You can then watch it on Netflix starting March 20th, with subscriptions available from just £5.99 per month. Netflix is also accessible through Sky Glass and Virgin Media. And if you want to rewatch the original series, it’s currently available on BBC iPlayer.
