New Alien: Earth Season 2 Update Is Bad News

Exciting news for fans of Alien: Earth! Season 2 is starting to come together, and one of the main actors recently revealed a small detail about when filming might begin.

Sydney Chandler says Alien: Earth Season 2 will start production in May

Sydney Chandler told Deadline that production on Season 2 of Alien: Earth will begin in May.

During a recent press event at the Texas Film Awards, the actor confirmed that filming for the Noah Hawley-created FX series will begin soon. She also mentioned she hasn’t received any scripts for the new season yet.

The team making ‘Alien: Earth’ originally filmed in Thailand, but they’re now moving to Pinewood Studios in London. Pinewood has a history with the ‘Alien’ movies – the first film from 1979, ‘Alien 3’, and the prequel ‘Prometheus’ were all shot there. This move brings production back to a location with strong ties to the franchise’s past.

Dana Gonzales, the Executive Producer and Producing Director, has announced the start of work on season two of “Alien Earth FX.” She shared on Instagram that the team is beginning the process of building the show’s world, referencing production at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. Gonzales expressed her excitement about starting this new journey.

In the series Alien: Earth, Sydney Chandler plays Wendy, the leader of a group known as the Lost Boys. These six individuals are unique – they’re the first of their kind, created by the Prodigy Corporation from children with life-threatening illnesses. At the end of the first season, Wendy leads a rebellion against her creators, successfully taking over Neverland Island and the facility that controls it.

Noah Hawley, the creator of the series, is setting it within the world of the Alien movies. While the team is gearing up to start filming, FX hasn’t yet revealed when Season 2 will be released.
