Leslie Odom Jr., the acclaimed actor best known for originating the role of Aaron Burr in the hit musical Hamilton, will be returning to the show this summer.
The actor is coming to London’s Victoria Palace Theatre to perform the role for nine weeks only, marking his first time appearing in a West End production.
Leslie Odom Jr. received a Tony Award for his performance as Aaron Burr in the original Broadway production of Hamilton, and a Grammy for his work on the show’s cast recording. He recently reprised the role on Broadway for a highly successful 12-week engagement last fall.
You know, after they made the announcement, I was telling everyone how amazing it’s been to come back to Hamilton. Getting to play Aaron Burr again, but with everything I’ve learned and experienced since the first time, has honestly been really therapeutic as an artist. And honestly? I’m just having a blast!
I’m so grateful to Cameron Mackintosh and Jeffrey Seller for giving me the chance to start performing in the West End with this amazing group. I’m thrilled the London show will let me share Lin-Manuel Miranda’s music with audiences around the world – I’ve heard they love this show just as much as I do, if not even more! I’m traveling across the ocean and I’m incredibly excited.

Cameron Mackintosh recalled first seeing Hamilton over ten years ago during its initial run at the Public Theater in New York. He was particularly impressed by Leslie Odom, Jr.’s energetic portrayal of Aaron Burr and Lin-Manuel Miranda’s captivating performance as Alexander Hamilton.
I’m so excited that audiences in London will get to see Leslie perform for a limited time, alongside the fantastic new cast of this groundbreaking musical at the Victoria Palace Theatre.
Khloe Kardashian’s ex-husband, Lamar Odom, will be part of the cast starting July 3rd and running until September 5th, 2026. The full cast list will be revealed on June 15th.
Last year marked the 10th anniversary of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton, the groundbreaking musical that took Broadway by storm.
The musical is narrated by Aaron Burr, who often clashes with Alexander Hamilton, the show’s central figure. The story, told through hip-hop and rap, details Hamilton’s life and career, culminating in his death in a duel with Burr. (Be warned, this is a major plot point!)
Hamilton has been at the West End since 2017 and is currently renewed to run until March 2027.
When and where can I see Leslie Odom Jr in Hamilton?
I’m so excited! Leslie Odom Jr. is coming back to Hamilton! He’s going to be performing in a limited run at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London’s West End from July 3rd to September 5th, 2026. I definitely don’t want to miss it!
