Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are getting excited for the return of Daredevil, also known as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, and one of the original members of The Defenders team.
Marvel Studios just dropped a new trailer for season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, giving fans a better look at what’s next for Matt Murdock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. You can watch it below!
The latest trailer for Daredevil: Born Again hints at the season’s plot: Matt Murdock is back as the Daredevil, but he’s a fugitive. Meanwhile, a task force dedicated to stopping vigilantes is actively pursuing crime-fighters throughout New York City.
Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin) will share screen time again, along with Karen Page, who will have a more significant role this season. Tony Dalton is also returning as Jack Duquesne, a character he played in both Hawkeye and the first season of Daredevil: Born Again.
As a critic, I’m getting a really interesting picture of where Daredevil: Born Again is heading. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has revealed the new season jumps forward about six months after the events of season one. Remember how Fisk essentially took control of New York, declaring martial law and making vigilantism illegal? Well, he’s solidified that power. Scardapane says Fisk’s administration is now fully in control, but beneath the surface, a resistance is starting to form. It sounds like we’re going to see a city firmly under Fisk’s thumb, with a hidden undercurrent of rebellion brewing – a really compelling setup, if you ask me.

He explained that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of New York City is undergoing a major change – some see it as a fresh start, while others view it as a decline. This transformation is also affecting the characters, driven by significant political events. This is how Jessica Jones, played again by Krysten Ritter, re-enters the story, teaming up with Daredevil in the trailer.
Wilson Bethel reprises his role as Bullseye, giving fans a first glimpse of his costume from the initial season of Daredevil: Born Again. Although the Punisher won’t appear in the second season, viewers can see Jessica and Matt visiting his old headquarters.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2debuts on March 24, only on Disney+.
