WB Actor Hints at First Footage Reveal of Highly Anticipated Animated Movie

2026 has been a significant year for Warner Bros., largely because Paramount/Skydance successfully outbid Netflix to acquire the studio. Although the merger still faces some challenges and won’t be finalized immediately, Warner Bros. is continuing with its planned movie releases. A major animated film from Warner Bros. Animation, which many fans believed would never see the light of day, is now scheduled to hit theaters this summer. According to one of the actors involved, the first trailer for the Looney Tunes movie will be released very soon.

The animated film Coyote Vs. Acme has had a rocky road to release. Warner Bros. Animation initially canceled it, intending to write it off as a financial loss. However, the movie was rescued by Ketchup Entertainment, who recognized its potential and will now distribute it. Coyote Vs. Acme is scheduled to premiere in theaters on August 28th, and Eric Bauza, the voice of characters like Daffy Duck and Porky Pig in The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, has hinted that a trailer is coming soon, asking fans, “Who’s ready for the Coyote Vs. Acme trailer?”

Coyote Vs. The World

Unlike the fully animated The Day the Earth Blew Up, Coyote vs. Acme combines animation with live-action footage. The film features classic characters like Coyote and the Roadrunner, alongside actors Will Forte, John Cena, Lana Condor, and P.J. Byrne. Though Warner Bros. initially cancelled the movie, the cast members were vocal about their disappointment.

John Cena, known for his roles in Peacemaker and WWE, recently shared his thoughts on Coyote vs. Acme, a project many believed would never be released. He described working on the film as a rewarding experience, but acknowledged it’s difficult when a project gets put on hold. He understands the business decisions involved and was thrilled that Warner Bros. Discovery allowed the film to finally be shown. Cena was happy to hear audiences enjoyed it and hopes even more people will get to see it, as he recently watched it himself and found it very entertaining. He’s just glad it’s finally out for people to enjoy.

The new Looney Tunes movie has a pretty crazy plot: Wile E. Coyote is suing the Acme Corporation because their products never actually work and always backfire on him, especially when he’s chasing the Road Runner. Critics are loving the film, and fans can’t wait to see the classic Coyote and Road Runner chase play out on the big screen.
