As a huge fan of My Hero Academia, I was a little sad to see the main anime series wrap up last December – it was amazing watching Deku strive to become the best hero! But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of My Hero Academia to enjoy! We can revisit the world through spin-offs like My Hero Academia: Vigilantes. Even though Studio BONES is finishing up the main series in 2025, the franchise is really keen to keep celebrating, especially in Japan. And get this – My Hero Academia’s tenth anniversary is coming up! It’s going to be huge for all of us crime-fighting fans!
To celebrate its 10th anniversary, My Hero Academia is holding an event in Tokyo on April 3rd. The voice actors for Deku (Yamashita Daiki), Bakugo (Okamoto Nobuhiko), Ochaco (Sakura Ayane), and All Might (Miyake Kenta) will all be there. Plus, the animation studio BONES has announced they’ll share details about a new anime installment called “More,” which will expand on the manga’s ending. “More” will show what happens to the characters as adults, adding extra scenes that weren’t included in the original series finale. You can find new artwork for the anniversary event below.

“More” My Hero Academia

The next installment of the series will delve deeper into the connection between Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and Ochaco Uraraka. The previous finale showed Class 1-A as adults, several years after they defeated All For One and Shigaraki. Fans know that Midoriya has become a teacher at UA High. Although Deku lost his One For All quirk during the battle with Shigaraki, All Might surprised him with a high-tech suit – similar to Iron Man’s – allowing him to fight crime again.
So far, the creator of the My Hero Academia manga, Kohei Horikoshi, hasn’t said if he’ll continue the series or revisit that world, but he hasn’t ruled it out either. He’s mentioned wanting to create a horror series, and given how frightening some of the villains in My Hero Academia are, it’s definitely a possibility. Hopefully, we’ll hear about his next project soon!
For fans of My Hero Academia, there’s still one more anime story to enjoy: Vigilantes. This spin-off is taking a break from the current heroes to explore the history of UA Academy, specifically focusing on the younger days of Eraserhead and his friends – Present Mic, Midnight, and Oboro. As fans know, Oboro eventually becomes the villain Kurogiri, a powerful enemy of the heroes. While a third season hasn’t been announced yet, there’s plenty of material from the source to make it happen.
