PS3 and Xbox 360 Game From 2012 Is Returning in a Major Way

2012 saw a multitude of blockbuster games for both PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, including The Walking Dead, Mass Effect 3, Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Halo 4, Assassin’s Creed III, Dishonored, Persona 4 Golden, Fire Emblem Awakening, Guild Wars 2, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Pokemon Black and White 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Standing out in such a competitive year was no small feat, yet several games from this era have become beloved cult classics. Now, one of these iconic titles is set to make a big comeback.

12 years after its initial release, the iconic cult classic Lollipop Chainsaw was polished up and reintroduced to gamers last year with a remaster called Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. Some thought this would be a one-time event, but it appears that the game by Grasshopper Manufacture is getting several new projects in the pipeline.

13 years back, the pioneering team behind its creation injected an abundance of passion and ingenuity into developing Lollipop Chainsaw, as stated by Shohei Sato, president and CEO of Dragami Games. This company will now be responsible for managing the IP. Since its release, the game has garnered immense fan support and affection. Joe Teng, chairman of Nada Holdings, expressed his excitement as a big fan of Lollipop Chainsaw, stating he’s proud to contribute to the growth of this IP. In the future, Nada Holdings plans to stay faithful to the essence of the original creation and fulfill its followers’ expectations. Collaborating with Dragami Games, they aim to create numerous new projects.

At present, we only have a glimpse into what these projects entail. Whether they are games or something else, and the level of involvement from creator Goichi Suda (also known as Suda51), is still uncertain. It’s also unclear if designer James Gunn will participate due to his commitments with DC. For those who may not be aware, James Gunn was one of the designers and writers on the original project.
