As a passionate film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Nicholas Bailey, famously known as Anthony Trueman in EastEnders, is set to reprise his role. This exciting news comes as we anticipate the remarriage of Patrick (Rudolph Walker), a character close to my heart, to Yolande (Angela Wynter). Can’t wait to see what unfolds on our favorite soap!
Since the announcement, our thoughts have been revolving around the connection between Anthony and the return of a familiar figure – Zoe Slater, portrayed by Michelle Ryan.
In June, Zoe made a comeback following a 20-year hiatus, yet her distressed persona took off, leaving with an enigmatic mystery in tow. Concerned stepfather Alfie Moon (played by Shane Richie) then embarked on a journey overseas to aid her.
It’s clear that Zoe is coming back shortly, which has us pondering if her path will intersect with Doctor Anthony’s.
Let me briefly summarize: Beyond continuing our discussion, it’s important to note that Anthony didn’t merely date Zoe; he was involved romantically with her mother Kat (portrayed by Jessie Wallace). Interestingly enough, Kat just got married for the third time, this time to Alfie.
Kat was first to be Anthony’s girlfriend, but after they split, Anthony and Zoe got together.
However, Anthony confessed he still loved Kat, and Zoe caught the pair in bed!
Eventually, Zoe came to terms with the fact that Anthony desired a relationship with Kat. However, following feelings of inadequacy compared to his coworkers, Kat ended things with him.
It turned out that Kat found herself pregnant just as Anthony was preparing to propose. However, she decided to terminate the pregnancy instead.
Following Alfie, and moving forward as simply friends with Kat, he managed to convince her to raise the child together. Tragically, upon going to share this news with Anthony, Kat endured a miscarriage.
Kat definitively ended her relationship with Anthony in the past, and since then, there had been no link between him and the Slater family. However, this situation has changed recently.
In a peculiar turn of events, it’s not unusual for Kat to bring up her history with Anthony. Given that Anthony’s stay in Walford extends beyond his initial plans, thanks to a significant event involving Patrick, might there be an encounter between Anthony and Zoe as well?
In my latest film analysis, it’s fascinating to note that our beloved character, Anthony, seems to have embarked on a new chapter in life. During his time away from the silver screen, he appears to have tied the knot and started a family. However, the script remains mysteriously silent about his current marital status, leaving us eagerly awaiting updates.
In the darkness of doubt about Alfie’s loyalty towards her due to him supporting Zoe during his recent absence, it’s possible that Kat may start questioning whether he is as dedicated to their relationship as she initially believed. This uncertainty could potentially lead Kat to seek comfort in her former partner.
Or could Zoe, at her lowest ebb, confide in Anthony and revive a spark long forgotten?
With Zoe and Kat yet to come face to face, there could be more at stake than we thought here.
