Are you disappointed that Cyberpunk 2077 hasn’t added New Game+ or a Third-Person Mode yet? In contrast, Massive Entertainment’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be getting these features in a significant update on December 5th. The update is set to roll out approximately two years after the game’s initial release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. You can watch the trailer for it below.
In the words of Creative Director Omar Bouali, “We’ve always imagined Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora as a dynamic environment that grows alongside our players. This latest update is a testament to the fervor of our community, and we’re grateful for their dedication. It truly resonates with our team.
The Third-Person Mode provides just what its name suggests, allowing you to experience your playable Na’vi character from a third-person perspective as you navigate, jump, climb, and shoot through the world. This isn’t merely a change in viewpoint; Massive Entertainment had to redesign the camera, audio, animations, among other elements, to effectively implement this mode.
In terms of New Game+, it enables you to replay the story utilizing your existing abilities, inventory, and equipment. As you battle tougher adversaries, additional powerful gear and a fresh skill tree become accessible, helping to keep the game balanced.
