Hollywood is mourning the loss of an unforgettable star.
It has been reported by various sources that Malcolm-Jamal Warner, best known for his role as Theodore Huxtable on The Cosby Show, tragically passed away at the age of 54 following an accidental drowning.
TopMob News has reached to Malcolm’s rep for additional comment.
In 1986, Warner was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series due to his work on “The Cosby Show.” Throughout his nearly 40-year career, he appeared in popular shows such as “Malcolm & Eddie,” “Reed Between the Lines,” and “The Resident.
In 2023, Warner discussed the enduring legacy of The Cosby Show, acknowledging that despite Bill Cosby’s legal issues, it remained something that everyone associated with the show could continue to be extremely proud of.
I’ve found an extraordinary connection that ties us, one that remains steadfast even as the passage of time separates our encounters, whether visual or auditory.
Despite some people’s current opinions about the show,” he added, “I remain proud of the lasting impact it has had. As one of its contributors, I am honored to have been associated with such a groundbreaking series that made such a deep imprint on Black culture, and more broadly, on American culture.
More recently, he secured the position of Chief Inspector Bill Houston in the series titled “Alert: Missing Persons Unit.” He couldn’t wait to start this new acting assignment.

In an interview with TV Insider in April, Warner expressed that Bill Houston was the father figure the MPU team didn’t realize they were missing. He added that Bill is both understanding and experienced, and what he appreciates most about him is his straightforward nature.
The actor pointed out that “Bill is direct due to the fact that, in situations like missing persons cases, there’s usually not much room for dilly-dallying. Time is crucial, and Bill recognizes this. Moreover, he’s adept at communicating effectively with people, which helps him convey his message swiftly and inspire others into action.
