Marvel fans are frustrated with Sony, hoping they’ll be more straightforward about their plans for Spider-Man. After the release date for the first trailer of Spider-Man: Brand New Day was announced, reports suggest things aren’t as simple as they appear.
A source called The Beyond Reporter said yesterday that the first trailer for the upcoming “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” would be released online next Wednesday, March 18, 2026. However, another source, MAJESTIC_ucm, has clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that the release next week will actually be a short, 44-second teaser, not the complete trailer fans are hoping for.
When is the full Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer arriving?
Spider-Man fans will need to wait a little longer for the complete “Brand New Day” trailer. According to a post on X from MAJESTIC_ucm, the first official trailer will be shown at CinemaCon, and another trailer will be released on June 10th.
Back in February, a source predicted Sony would likely show the trailer for Brand New Day at CinemaCon, following their debut of the first Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser at the same event in 2021.
CinemaCon takes place from April 13th to 16th at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Sony will start the event with a special presentation showcasing its new movies, according to CinemaCon’s website.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be Tom Holland’s seventh time playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie takes place four years after the events of No Way Home, giving Holland the chance to portray a Spider-Man who is more seasoned and confident.
Filming for the superhero movie’s sequel took place from August to December 2025, and Destin Daniel Cretton directed it. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers were responsible for writing the script.
The new Spider-Man movie, “Brand New Day,” is set to release in theaters on July 31, 2026, as part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
