With winter still lingering, Rhode founder Hailey Bieber posted a playful bikini selfie on Instagram on March 12th, showcasing her figure in a yellow and navy swimsuit.
Alongside the photo, Hailey declared in the caption, “It’s summer.”
The playful post revealed that Hailey, mother to 18-month-old Jack Blues with her husband Justin Bieber, was watching a Peanuts cartoon. A picture of Snoopy on her TV was visible in the second image of the post.
The beauty entrepreneur, who has publicly discussed struggling with body image after having her son in 2024, says learning to love herself was a gradual process.
In an interview with Vogue last May, the 29-year-old revealed she experienced intense self-doubt and negativity after giving birth, more so than ever before.
She explained that she constantly reminds herself, ‘Hailey, you just had a baby.’ She tells herself she created and delivered a new life, and that it’s alright to be kind to herself and take the time she needs to recover and adjust.
Indeed, Hailey didn’t realize motherhood would come with accepting an entirely different body.
She pointed out that the idea of ‘bouncing back’ after pregnancy doesn’t really make sense, saying, ‘Back where? My body has changed – my hips are wider and my breasts are larger than they used to be.’ She clarified that while she’s happy with the changes, it’s simply not the same body she had before.
Hailey was so focused on losing weight after having a baby that she was making herself unhappy.
She described having to come to terms with the fact that she wasn’t going back. After that, she focused on figuring out how to move forward and the person she wanted to become.
Ultimately, she’s found even more confidence in her body after giving birth.
She explained that she felt physically stronger than ever before, and this came with a sense of ease and confidence.
