Under the banner of Radical Fish Games, creators of the popular title CrossCode, are making steady strides forward with their latest project, Alabaster Dawn. While players will have to wait until September for a free demo on PC, they can get a sneak peek at the game’s captivating 2.5D art style and action-packed combat by watching the latest gameplay trailer.
On the universe of Tiran Sol, the narrative of Alabaster Dawn follows Juno, a character who wakes up to discover that the populace has disappeared. In an attempt to rescue her world and conquer the enigmatic Nyx, Juno embarks on a journey. Throughout this adventure, Juno assists in rebuilding communities, engages with characters to fulfill their tasks, and many other activities. The story unfolds across seven distinct locations, with approximately 30 to 60 hours of gameplay anticipated.
What captures my interest, though, is the fighting aspect. While CrossCode features a single weapon that changes based on the element it’s equipped with, Alabaster Dawn offers eight. Each of these weapons comes with its own unique skill tree and Combat Arts. You can enhance your prowess even more by using Gems and cooking dishes.
Alabaster Dawn will enter early access later this year. Stay tuned for more updates until then.
