Starfield’s PS5 Release Seems Practically Inevitable at This Point

The stars finally seem to be aligning for Starfield on PS5.

Originally, Sony wanted this game to be available only on PlayStation 5. However, after Microsoft bought the game’s publisher, Bethesda, it became a key title in Microsoft’s promotion of the Xbox.

Since the game’s launch in 2023, a lot has happened, and it now looks very likely to come to PlayStation. Recent, trustworthy sources suggest it could be released on April 7th.

And we may find out as early as next week, if a post on social media is to be believed.

After PC Gamer called director Todd Howard a visionary, a representative from the studio stated:

We showed this to Todd, and he joked that his only talent for predicting the future is spotting the lanes players run in the upcoming EA College Football 26 video game. He’s thankful for all the enthusiastic comments about Starfield, and we’ll have more updates to share next week.

An updated version of Starfield is coming, promising improvements to the game. However, Bethesda’s Todd Howard notes that if you weren’t a fan of the original game, this update likely won’t change your mind.

The RPG is planned to release on PlayStation 5 with the upcoming update, and a second expansion will be available at the same time.

A Portuguese store has begun accepting pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 version of the game, with a planned release date of April 7th.
