Suspicions rise in Coronation Street early ITVX release as Megan Walsh threatens Sam Blakeman in hospital

Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) is facing increasing scrutiny in Coronation Street. A neighbor recently observed a strange exchange between her and young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), raising suspicions about her behavior.

Fans of the ITV soap opera will recall that Weatherfield High teacher Megan has been secretly dating her student, Will Driscoll, and is now pregnant with his child.

Will’s classmate, Sam, quickly noticed the connection between Will and Megan, and after hearing rumors about their past, he shared his worries. Will became angry and insisted the student was simply attracted to Megan and that the rumors weren’t true.

Megan, upset by this, decided she needed to prevent Sam from revealing what she thought were false claims. She told him no one would believe him, and he responded by secretly installing a CCTV camera in her apartment to gather proof.

She soon clocked onto his plan, fabricated an interaction with Will, and accused Sam of voyeurism.

Sam has unexpectedly become dependent on ADHD medication he’s been getting at school, using it to cope with growing stress. This was noticed in today’s episode when Nina Lucas became concerned about his odd behavior at the cafe.

He’d not touched his food, was visibly shaking, and she thought that he’d had too much caffeine.

When Eva Price came near, he jumped up, startled, and was horrified to see Megan standing in the doorway. He then ran outside and collapsed onto the street.

At the hospital, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) couldn’t believe his son Sam had taken drugs. It was so unlike Sam, and Nick knew there had to be an explanation. Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) agreed, believing someone wasn’t telling the whole story, and she was determined to uncover the truth.

Will was shocked to learn Sam was in the hospital and felt responsible. Megan promised to fix things and headed to Sam’s ward.

So, Sam really played up the stressed-out student angle with Nick and Leanne, saying he needed to crash and rest. Leanne headed off for a coffee, and then Megan basically told Nick to ditch him – she needed some privacy to handle another problem that popped up. It was a pretty weird scene, honestly.

Sam was completely stunned to see her sitting across from him, and he anxiously nodded when she asked him to keep their conversation a secret.

Unaware of Leanne’s presence, her former step-son was clearly frightened, and she watched him through the window.

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
