EastEnders reveals intriguing Jasmine Fisher twist as twin brother Josh Goodwin arrives in early BBC iPlayer release

We still have many unanswered questions about Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) from EastEnders.

She first appeared in September, but it wasn’t until Christmas that we discovered she was the long-lost daughter of Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan). For months, she seemed focused on Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), and the two eventually met with Cindy’s adoptive mother, Anita (Yasmine Holness-Dove), hoping to find some answers.

She didn’t want to talk much, but she did mention she had a dark side and wasn’t reliable. Because of this, Anita and her husband, Colin, asked her to leave.

Jasmine willingly helped Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) cruelly torment Zoe, participating in actions like setting fire to Zoe’s bedroom at Lauren Beale’s (Jacqueline Jossa) house and writing hateful messages in fake blood inside the Queen Vic’s storage area.

Jasmine killed her father, Anthony Trueman, and is now in jail awaiting trial. While she claimed self-defense, recent events have hinted at a more complicated past, suggesting she may not always be as innocent as she appears.

Okay, let me tell you about a really tense scene I just witnessed. Denise and Kim, those two are always looking out for their own, spotted a stranger poking around Albert Square asking questions about Jasmine. This woman was clearly digging for a story, and Denise and Kim weren’t having it. They managed to get her cornered inside the salon and, honestly, things escalated quickly. They basically blocked her with the door and gave her a stern warning to back off and stop snooping. It was a pretty dramatic confrontation, and I have to say, Denise and Kim handled it with a fierceness we’ve come to expect from them!

Sandra Goodwin (played by Dawn Steele) revealed she wasn’t a reporter, but the adoptive mother of Jasmine’s twin brother, Josh (Joshua Vaughan).

Denise and Kim explained that they acted the way they did to shield Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) from more heartache. He was already deeply saddened by Anthony’s death and was starting to feel he’d made a mistake inviting Jasmine to stay.

Sandra and her husband adopted Josh and Jasmine when they were four years old, after years of trying to have children. Although they were happy as a family at first, a difficult situation arose that led Sandra to make the heartbreaking decision to place Jasmine with another family in order to safeguard Josh.

As a result, the Goodwins have had nothing to do with her ever since.

What did Jasmine do?

Although Kim tried to learn what occurred, Denise didn’t push her for details. Instead, Denise shared her own experience with adoption, explaining that she had previously given up her son, Raymond.

Josh had followed Sandra to Walford and was having a drink at The Prince Albert pub, just across from Turpin Road. He quickly caught the eye of Cindy Beale, but their initial connection turned sour when she suspected him of dealing drugs in her bar, leading to a fight.

Josh saw a bag of drugs slip from a customer’s pocket and, without realizing what it was, returned it to them. This angered Cindy, who immediately escorted him off the property. Outside, Josh met up with Sandra and was also introduced to Denise and Kim.

Perhaps not the best first impression!
