Pokemon Pokopia has launched with a lot of content, so it didn’t take long for the first in-game event to arrive. Shortly after the game launched, players experienced an event introducing three new Pokemon to collect. The ‘More Spores for Hoppip’ event began on March 10th, and while players were initially excited about the new additions, they’ve since shared strong feedback about how future live events in Pokemon Pokopia should be handled.
The ‘More Spores for Hoppip’ event in Pokopia ran from March 10th to March 25th – a full 15 days! That’s longer than similar events in games like Pokemon Go. However, the event was fairly easy, and most players were able to collect all the necessary Spores to add Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff to their games within just a day or two. As a result, many fans are eager for it to conclude. While future events haven’t been officially announced, they seem probable, and developers hope to use player feedback to improve the next one.
Pokemon Pokopia Fans Want to Evict Hoppip from the Pokemon Center ASAP
After playing Pokopia for a few days, you’ll start noticing a recurring message about a certain Pokémon being popular, urging you to visit the Pokémon Center. While this message is becoming repetitive after the first week of the live event, the bigger problem is that players are getting tired of seeing Hoppip featured so prominently in the Pokémon Center – it’s time for a change!
Am I the only one that is ready for this guy to leave?

The More Spores for Hoppip event features the adorable Grass-type Pokémon at every Pokémon Center. This is causing some frustration because these centers are usually the best place to trade for Pokémon with special abilities. Players are finding it difficult to trade for the Pokémon they want since Hoppip is taking up all the space, and many feel the event has gone on for too long.
It’s not really fair to say Hoppip is creating a trade monopoly. You can still trade Pokémon outside of the Pokémon Center – all it takes is a space with electricity and some counters. However, the Pokémon Center is the most popular and convenient place for trading in Pokopia. So, it’s no surprise Pokémon are frustrated that only event items are currently available there.

The recent Hoppip event ended quickly, and it’s clear players want some improvements for future Pokopia events. A shorter event duration would be a good start, as it doesn’t take two weeks to collect the necessary items. However, many players also appreciate having enough time to fully participate before an event ends. One simple fix would be to allow players to interact with Hoppip and ask it to leave the Pokémon Center once they’ve completed the event.
Okay, so this was the first real event in Pokopia, and honestly, we’re not sure if they’ll all be like this one. That Pokemon Center takeover was kinda cool, but it’s possible we won’t see that again in future events. A lot of us are hoping they come up with something that doesn’t mess with our regular gameplay so much, especially if the events are going to run for a pretty long time – like 15 days! We want to be able to play how we want, and still enjoy the event, you know?
