Following ABC’s announcement that Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette would be delayed from its original March 22nd premiere date, Taylor responded to a supportive video message from one of her contestants.

After a fan reshared a video of the San Diego ocean lifeguard, the 31-year-old star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives commented, expressing sympathy and calling the lifeguard “So sweet.”

Good morning, everyone. I’m sending my best wishes to Taylor, especially considering what happened. It should have been her moment to shine, but unfortunately, that was prevented.

The 28-year-old continued his message by urging others to be kind.

He said they could only remain hopeful at the moment, wishing everyone a great day. He encouraged people to stay positive and offer support to those who need it.

ABC paused Taylor’s season of the dating show after TMZ released video of a physical fight from 2023 involving her and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. It’s unclear how TMZ got the footage.

In 2023, Taylor, who shares two children with her former husband, Tate Paul, and another son with Dakota, was arrested and later pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault.

The video’s release follows a previously reported domestic issue from February that police are currently investigating. After that incident, filming for the fifth season of Mormon Wives was temporarily stopped.

After the video came out and production on The Bachelorette was temporarily stopped, Taylor’s representative released a statement saying she appreciated ABC’s support during this challenging situation.

Taylor is now finding the courage to confront the person who has abused her both mentally and physically for years, and to protect herself and her children from future harm, according to a statement released on March 19th to TopMob News. She had previously been threatened if she spoke out.

Taylor’s representative stated that the reality star had been quiet about the abuse because she was afraid of more harm, getting back at her, and being embarrassed publicly. They also said she is now considering her next steps, getting help, and getting ready to talk about what happened.

In a statement to TopMob News on March 19th, Dakota – who filed a restraining order against Taylor that same day – said the situation, as seen in the video, was very disturbing. He added that he’s become accustomed to false accusations regarding their relationship, and he strongly denies them all.

He added, “I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same.”
