No matter how you feel about the game, it seems Crimson Desert has been a massive hit.
Pearl Abyss, known for their online games, released their new single-player adventure game last week. While reviews were somewhat mixed, the game has already sold over three million copies in under a week.
That figure comes from a recent update shared on social media:
The game sold two million copies on its launch day, and has now surpassed three million copies sold after just six days.
We’re happy to announce that Crimson Desert has sold 3 million copies around the world. Thank you to everyone who has played and enjoyed the game with us!
Pearl Abyss promises to continue improving the game with updates based on what players think. They said player feedback is valuable and they’re committed to making the game even better and more fun.
The team is quickly making significant updates to the game based on initial feedback, and they appear dedicated to making Crimson Desert a polished and enjoyable experience.
We’re still working on our review of the game, as the PS5 codes needed to complete it just arrived with the console’s launch. We expect to have the review published shortly.
