It’s shaping up to be a huge year for Dungeon Crawler Carl. The popular book series is becoming a live-action TV show, and Playmates Toys is releasing a full line of toys. Plus, two video games are in development, and we’ll be learning more about them very soon. One exciting detail? You’ll even be able to play as Princess Donut in one of the games!
Renegade Game Studios is launching a new Backerkit campaign to bring two exciting additions to the Dungeon Crawler Carl universe. You’ll be able to play as beloved characters like Carl and Donut in the Dungeon Crawler Carl Roleplaying Game, or even create your own unique crawler. Also coming soon is Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable, a *Dungeon Crawler Carlthemed version of the popular Unstoppable game system, and for the first time, you can team up and play as Princess Donut!
Two Epic Dungeon Crawler Carl Games In One Place
In two days, our Backerkit campaign begins, giving fans the chance to get two new games from the series in one convenient spot. Though both games take place in the same exciting world, they offer very different gameplay experiences.
The Dungeon Crawler Carl Roleplaying Game lets you play as characters you already know and love – like Carl, Donut, Florin, and Prepotente. You can also create your own unique adventurer and customize their class with skills, race, and even which gods they follow. Unlocking certain options, however, requires progressing to floor three of the dungeon. You’ll find a variety of character options, such as the powerful Fire Mage Arcanist, the persuasive Former Child Actor, or the dangerous Shotgun Messenger.
Next up is Dungeon Crawler Carl: Unstoppable, which brings the popular gameplay of Unstoppable to the world of Carl and Donut. It features the same fun deck-building and card-crafting you enjoyed in the first game. When playing alone, you control Carl, but in co-op mode, one player gets to play as Princess Donut!
Players will explore the World Dungeon, facing off against bosses from local neighborhoods, boroughs, and entire cities. Throughout their journey, they’ll improve their character by leveling up, enhancing abilities, and collecting new equipment. The game also showcases the beautiful artwork of Luciano Fleitas, whose cover art is revealed above.
The Dungeon Crawler Carl roleplaying game and its expansion, Unstoppable, will be available for purchase on Backerkit starting April 14th.
