If you remember Jetfire soaring through the air in Transformers: Armada—or if you’re a fan of Transformers in general—you’ll be thrilled to hear this. Hasbro has just unveiled the Transformers: Age of the Primes Commander Class Armada Jetfire, and it’s as impressive as you’d imagine.
Let’s explain what this is all about, and even more importantly, how to get one for yourself.
What Is the Age of the Primes Line, Anyway?
The Age of the Primes line is Hasbro’s way of celebrating fans who loved the Transformers in the early 2000s. It features high-quality, collectible figures of classic characters from across the Transformers universe, with impressive detail that will appeal to fans of all ages.
Commander Class figures are the largest and most detailed in the main toy line, bigger and more complex than Voyager and Leader Class figures. They’re meant to be showcased, though you can definitely still play with them!

The Figure Itself: What We Know
The Commander Class Armada Jetfire stays true to his original Transformers: Armada design, sporting the large, blocky, and appealingly robust look that set him apart from the more streamlined G1 versions.
This 8-inch action figure transforms from a robot into a space shuttle with 41 steps. You can also connect it with the separately sold Armada Optimus Prime figure to create Jet Optimus.
As a movie fan and collector, I have to say this figure really delivers. It’s a big, impressive piece – the jet mode is incredibly accurate, and it’s surprisingly poseable for a figure of this size. Honestly, the paint job and sculpting details are exactly what you’d hope for at this price point. But beyond all the technical stuff, it just looks amazing – seriously cool!
As someone who grew up with the original Armada toys, let me tell you, seeing this figure really brought back memories! If you loved the Mini-Cons – those little transforming robots – you’re in for a treat. Jetfire comes with not one, not two, but three of them: Astroscope, Skyblast, and Payload. And the best part? They combine to form the awesome Requiem Blaster! It’s a fantastic nod to the old toyline and a real win for longtime fans.
How to Pre-Order Armada Jetfire
Commander Class figures usually cost between $75 and $100, which is a significant purchase. Jetfire, in particular, sells for $99.99. However, considering its large size, intricate design, and appeal to collectors, the price feels reasonable.
If you already collect the Age of the Primes figures, you’ll definitely want to add this one to your collection. If you’re just starting out, Armada Jetfire is a great piece to begin with and is well worth the money.
You can pre-order the figure starting April 13th at 1 p.m. Eastern Time on HasbroPulse.com. Other retailers will begin offering pre-orders soon after. The figure will officially be released on October 1, 2026.
Fans are really excited that Hasbro is releasing Jetfire as a larger-sized Commander Class figure, styled after his appearance in Age of the Primes. It’s a great addition for Transformers collectors, and it seems like we can never have too many of these figures!
