SCS Software previously announced that both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 would be coming to consoles, including the PlayStation 5.
The games were added to the PlayStation Store’s wishlist feature a while ago, but we haven’t received many updates since then.
It’s been almost eight months since the ports were announced, and we’re starting to wonder about the progress.
SCS Software recently shared a video update on the progress of their popular trucking games for consoles.
If you’re looking forward to playing these games on PS5 and have about 30 minutes to spare, this video is worth checking out. It dives deep into the challenges of bringing The Sims to consoles, and it sounds like a really complicated process.
Essentially, SCS Software is having to significantly rework its games to ensure they perform optimally on consoles. This includes not just improving performance and smoothness, but also completely redesigning the user interface, controls, and other key elements.
If you’re wondering when the team might release something, they haven’t shared any details about a timeline.
We don’t expect these games to come out on PS5 for a while yet. It’s good to get any news from the developers, and we hope the next update isn’t too far off.
