GSC Game World is releasing a free update for STALKER 2 owners on PS5 today, with a larger expansion planned for release this summer.
I was so excited to hear about the new PS5 update for the game! It adds a whole new story activity where you explore the X-Lab. Basically, the story is that there’s this place, X-Labs, hidden deep underground, full of old, abandoned research areas. Word on the street – or, you know, among the stalkers – is that a guy named Diod, who hangs around Slag Heap, has somehow managed to get into the lower levels of X-18. Sounds like a really interesting new mystery to uncover!
Here’s everything today’s PS5 update brings to STALKER 2:
- Explore a new questline that starts when you talk to Diode.
- Fixed an issue causing overpopulation of strong mutant types in long campaigns.
- Fixed an issue where the mission ‘Dark as a Dungeon’ would immediately cancel if the player had already reached the point of no return.
- Added new loading screens.
