Lena Dunham recently revealed in her new memoir, Famesick, released on April 14th, that she was unfaithful to Jack Antonoff near the end of their five-year relationship.

The creator of the show Girls revealed in her memoir that she had a relationship with a boy she dated in middle school—whom she called Nick. She wrote that her partner Jack’s growing friendship with a young pop singer he was working with at the time began to feel strange.

TopMob News has reached out to Jack’s rep for comment but hasn’t heard back.

Lena and Jack began dating in 2013, but it wasn’t until four years later that Lena started to feel something was off in their relationship.

I still enjoyed a little harmless flirting – after all, I was still alive – but I always made sure to keep it respectful and avoid crossing any lines. Looking back, I realize Jack wasn’t as careful about boundaries as I was.

Around the same time, Lena was dealing with some health problems. After a hysterectomy, the 39-year-old contacted Nick, feeling comfortable enough to say, “I just had major surgery and really needed a pick-me-up.”

Lena recalled texting her middle school crush while Jack was on tour, asking him to meet her by the bridge and bring a stuffed animal. He replied almost immediately: ‘I’m already running.’

So, when the two met up, Lena said she “let my lips wander slowly across his face and onto his.”

Their initial flirtation quickly turned into a multi-day relationship. The creator of Too Much recalled telling Nick early on, “I’ve experienced something terrible. I don’t want to discuss it, but I need you to take the lead physically and handle everything.”

And they also arranged a clandestine hookup at her parents’ house when they were out of town.

She described how Nick came to her apartment and they had sex while she watched the electric fireplace. They then shared a bath, washing each other’s hair, and had sex again on a quilt belonging to her parents. During intimacy, Nick made a disturbing statement, telling her he felt a strong urge to sabotage her boyfriend’s car.

When Jack, age 42, came home from his tour, Lena slipped back into her previous patterns. She confessed to getting into bed with Jack after being with Nick, secretly hoping it would fix their troubled marriage.

I drifted off to sleep listening to Jack breathe, just like I’d done for almost six years, and for the first time in forever, I felt…peaceful.

Sadly, it didn’t work out, and Lena told Jack the next day that she wasn’t happy. That’s when they broke up for good.

She remembered that when they broke up in 2018, they both cried and leaned their heads together. She told him, ‘No matter what, you’ll always be my first love,’ and he responded through tears, ‘And you’ll be mine too.’

Oh my gosh, after things ended with that musician, Lena was with Nick for a little while, but it was so fast and over by the end of 2018, she told Cosmopolitan UK. But then… then she met Luis Felber! It was amazing, they went public with their relationship and were MARRIED less than a year later, in September 2021! It was the most beautiful thing, honestly. I knew Luis was the one for her!

As for Jack, he married Margaret Qualley in August 2023.
