Tom Baker, famous for playing Doctor Who, has thrilled fans by revisiting his iconic role for a new photoshoot.
Tom Baker is a legend! At 92, he’s still so beloved for playing the Fourth Doctor – he’s definitely my favorite, and so many other fans feel the same way. He was the Doctor from 1974 to 1981, and honestly, he just perfectly was the Doctor for me.
Recent photos reveal the actor once again stepping out of the iconic TARDIS doors.
Sid’s Emporium in Tenterden posted photos of the actor after he walked past their shop. The owners, Simon and Donna, invited him inside for the pictures.
Fans were delighted to see Tom Baker enjoying a set of beautifully crafted Tardis doors! They shared on Instagram that the former Doctor Who actor ‘absolutely loved’ the doors, which were skillfully made last year by Simon at @sidsemporium.

You know, he was an absolute delight this morning, playfully peeking around the doors and really getting into character – always with such a fantastic sense of humor! I have a feeling these photos are going to be treasured for years to come, so I wanted to share one especially for all my fellow Doctor Who enthusiasts! A big thanks to Tom.
Tom Baker clearly still cherishes his years playing the Doctor, recently marking the anniversary of his final appearance on March 21, 1981, by sharing a video.
The video started with a quote from 45 years ago: ‘It’s the end, but the moment has been prepared for.’ Then, it showed a clip of Tom Baker, wearing his famous striped scarf from when he played Doctor Who.
Holding his sonic screwdriver, he chuckled, “Right, this is it – my sonic screwdriver. It’s been the secret to everything I’ve achieved! And, of course, it’s thanks to all of you who’ve watched, applauded, and sent gifts. It’s been a fantastic journey.”
He finished with his signature laugh, expressing gratitude to his followers. The screen then displayed a tribute: “Tom Baker will always be the Doctor!”
Last year, the actor received an MBE for his contributions to television. He told TopMob that he’s always amazed by how many people still remember his work on the show 34 years later. He was surprised to recently revisit the TARDIS – and wear his famous scarf – finding it hard to believe so much time had passed.
