Taylor Momsen is twice bitten, but still not shy.
While touring with AC/DC on the Power Up tour, the former Gossip Girl star was hospitalized after being bitten by a poisonous spider. This happened almost two years after she was bitten by a bat during a concert.
Taylor shared on Instagram on April 14th that she’d been bitten by a poisonous spider, showing a photo of the bite and a resulting rash on her calf. Despite the injury, she assured her fans in Mexico City that she still planned to perform, writing, ‘Hospital today, show tomorrow!’
And when one fan pointed out Taylor’s prior bat bite, she chimed back, “I know. WTF.”
Taylor was bitten by a large spider almost a week ago, and it took a significant bite out of her leg. While the venom caused a strong reaction in her body, she remained in good spirits.
She playfully mentioned on April 9th that she always seems to get bitten on AC/DC tours, joking about whether she should be called ‘Spider Woman’ or ‘Batgirl’.
Almost two years ago, Taylor Momsen, the singer of The Pretty Reckless, was unexpectedly attacked by a bat during a concert in Spain.
Oh my god, you guys, I was there! I saw it with my own eyes! Taylor was performing, and she suddenly goes, ‘There’s a freaking flying bat on my leg right now!’ right into the microphone! It was insane! She actually asked for help, like, ‘Can someone please help me?’ I couldn’t believe it! She was so calm, even with a bat on her leg! It was the most surreal concert moment ever!
Once the bat was removed from her leg, though, she was able to continue with the show.
“Thanks!” Taylor said to the stagehand who’d helped her with the bat. “It’s okay. And the bat is fine—he’s going to be my new friend.”

Unfortunately, the bat wasn’t totally friendly.
Taylor shared that while the puppy was adorable, it had bitten her, requiring her to get rabies shots over the next two weeks.
Even after getting medical attention, Taylor described the bite as an exciting experience, calling it a “ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT.” It even led to her getting a new nickname.
She continued, expressing her gratitude to the hospital staff who nicknamed her ‘#batgirl’ after seeing a local news story about her that morning. She added with excitement, ‘That’s a story I’ll never forget!’

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, when she shared on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.
She explained that growing up, many girls are told to expect period pain and to accept it as a normal part of womanhood. This often leaves people dealing with a common issue in silence and without support.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter) asking why she hadn’t posted recently. Suki jokingly replied, hinting that she’s been dealing with a painful hernia caused by wearing very tight pants six months ago, and has been afraid to mention it.

Let me tell you, the last year has been incredibly tough. I was dealing with these awful spasms all over my body, and honestly, doctors were telling me things were very serious – they actually said I was facing a life-threatening situation. It was a really scary time, to say the least.

It sounds absolutely awful, and I’m sending him all my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when the incident occurred.
I was shot in the face by someone at another party who fired a gun carelessly,” she explained in an Instagram post. “Brendan Rooney quickly helped me, checked my injuries, and drove me to the hospital. I was hit five times, and one bullet came dangerously close to my right eye – less than an inch away.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! She actually told us what happened! Apparently, a tiny piece of something got stuck behind her eye, and the doctors are saying it’s too dangerous to try and take out right now. She says she can still see perfectly, which is AMAZING, but they’re going to keep a close watch on her just in case. I’m seriously so worried, but so glad she’s okay and can still see! It’s just…Kim Possible! She can handle anything, right?
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving a frightening experience. She urged everyone to hug their loved ones often, emphasizing the importance of appreciating those around you.

Okay, so I’m a HUGE Amy Schumer fan, and I was so worried when I started seeing all the comments about her face! Honestly, the internet can be awful, but in this case, I’m SO glad people started talking. She was doing press and people noticed she looked… different, and she even joked about it, but then DOCTORS started commenting! Can you believe it? They were genuinely concerned, saying something looked seriously wrong and she might have Cushing syndrome! She said she was getting trolled by doctors, which is just wild. It made her realize she’d been getting steroid injections after her breast reduction and C-section, and THAT’S what caused the Cushing syndrome. She literally wouldn’t have known without all the attention online! She’s just so relieved now that it’s a type that will resolve on its own and she’s healthy. It’s the best news ever, and I’m so happy for her! I seriously think the internet actually helped her get a diagnosis, which is amazing.

In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son fully recovered, New Jersey Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald shared with ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very fortunate, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially struggling to respond when Justin noticed something was wrong. She couldn’t speak and the right side of her face began to droop, but these symptoms eventually passed.
After going to the hospital, doctors discovered Hailey had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed she had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO).
The blood clot had traveled to her heart, passed through the hole, and reached her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually disappeared. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, stating it had been a frightening and unexpected situation, but he was going to be okay and she was thankful he was fine.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had previously kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache while in Atlanta. Before he could even take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, noticed he wasn’t well and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for extensive rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC show.
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but then she saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a severe headache at the gym, followed by intense pain and vomiting. She quickly realized something was seriously wrong, suspecting brain damage.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, describing the pain as “unbearable.” During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering nonsensically.
Though she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, leading to a significant bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is doing well.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how much she appreciates her family’s support after a health scare. In January 2024, Cori suffered a stroke and immediately reached out to her loved ones, sending a text and photo to let them know what happened. She told TopMob News that everyone quickly came to her aid.
Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. In addition to recovering from the stroke, she was also dealing with complications from lupus and kidney problems.
Thankfully, Cori is now recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said. She’s been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise doing fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with her health throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours – and digestive issues. She received multiple diagnoses from different doctors, leaving her confused.
Seeking answers, Woodley, who has kept the specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxieties around food and eventually to body image issues and a struggle with her identity. However, after addressing both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now feeling much better. “It was a journey that ultimately physically resolved itself, and I am very healthy,” she shared. She’s happy to be in a good place now.
