Allison Williams Reacts to Chris Abbott & Aubrey Plaza Expecting Baby

Allison Williams is bravely showcasing her creativity as a tribute to Christopher Abbott and Aubrey Plaza.

When it was announced that the Parks and Recreation actress and the Girls star are expecting their first child, a former colleague of Christopher’s immediately expressed her happiness for them.

Allison shared her enthusiasm with TopMob News at the New York premiere of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary on April 14th. She said, “It’s going to be incredible. As a mom, I just want to tell them they have no idea how wonderful this will be.”

The 38-year-old, who has a 5-year-old son named Arlo with her husband Alexander Dreymon, playfully admitted she gets overly excited whenever she hears someone is expecting a baby.

Though the actress from Regretting You has some experience as a parent, she insists she doesn’t have any profound advice to offer – and she believes no one really does.

She emphasized the importance of following your gut feeling and not letting others influence your decisions. She reminded me that people have always relied on their instincts, and encouraged me to connect with friends and ask for support.

The actress from M3GAN jokingly offered one piece of advice: let someone else hold your baby so you can use the restroom.

Allison and Christopher have both achieved a lot since they played Marnie Michaels and Charlie Dattolo in Lena Dunham’s show, but Allison recently shared a fond memory of their famous episode, “The Panic in Central Park,” from the fifth season.

As a huge Girls fan, I still think about the episode that aired ten years ago this month. It’s honestly one of my favorites! Seeing Marnie and Charlie unexpectedly reconnect after all that time was just… perfect. Allison Williams even said it was really interesting to revisit, and I totally get why. It’s such a special episode!

Allison praised Lena’s writing for a recent TV episode she appeared in, saying she felt fortunate to be a part of it. She was deeply touched by the positive response and happy to hear the episode had a real impact on viewers – even discouraging them from contacting former partners. She jokingly suggested it was ‘doing a public service.’

While Allison and Christopher only appear as friendly exes on screen, many other Hollywood stars have genuinely dated and managed to remain on good terms after splitting up. Read on to learn more…

There’s absolutely no chance they’ll get back together. However, with all the recent interactions – birthday celebrations, affectionate hugs, and even playfully acting out a romantic scene during the virtual reading of Fast Times at Ridgemont High – it feels like they’re just teasing everyone who hoped they’d reconcile.

Sarah proved she’s confident and playful when she appeared on her ex-husband Jimmy’s talk show. She was there to promote her new series, I Love You, America, and playfully teased him about his wife, Molly Kimmel, describing her as “cute,” “bright,” and “funny.” Jokingly, Sarah complained, “It’s not fair! She gets the updated, more aware Jimmy. I only had the ‘Man Show’ Jimmy.”

Honestly, some people seemed more upset about this breakup than the couple themselves. When Anna—who is now married to Michael Barrett—found out Chris Pratt was marrying Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019, she surprisingly offered to perform the ceremony. She even sent a gift when their daughter, Lyla, was born in August 2020. A source revealed that Anna was happy for her son, Jack, to have a little sister and described her as being very supportive of the new family.

It easily could have fallen apart after their difficult breakup. But four years later, the HGTV stars are thriving – successfully co-parenting their children, Taylor and Brayden, and continuing to renovate houses into beautiful homes for others.

Lenny Kravitz and his ex-wife, actress Zoë Kravitz’s mother, describe their relationship as a close, familial one – essentially, they’re still best friends, as he put it in a 2013 interview with Oprah Winfrey. He says they function as “one big happy family,” even after she married and later divorced Jason Momoa, and that their dynamic is a positive example of how things can work out.

Since the Dancing With the Stars co-host and retired hockey player separated in 2020, they’ve consistently shown everyone they remain friendly.

When Brooks announced he was getting married to Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir in December 2024, Julianne shared her excitement on Instagram. She wrote a message wishing them both a lifetime of happiness, fun, and exciting experiences as they start this new chapter together.

The dancer, her ex-husband, and his pregnant fiancée spent a day together at the lake. She shared a photo of the four of them with a sweet caption, calling them ‘these three cuties.’

Since splitting up in 2015, the parents of Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel have successfully co-parented, managing to take family vacations together, celebrate holidays as a unit, and publicly support each other. In a 2016 interview with TopMob News, Ben praised his ex-partner as “an amazing mother.”

Nina and Ian dated for three years before splitting up in 2013, but they stayed friends. The following year, Nina began dating Nikki Reed and they quickly got married. As a result, Nina became friends with Nikki, who is known for her role in the Twilight films.

The couple broke up in July 2016 after being together for five years. The singer later shared on Howard Stern’s radio show in October that she remained very close to her ex, describing him as both a former lover and a long-time friend.

“We love each other,” she said. “That’s it.”

Even years after The Office ended in 2013, the chemistry between its stars still makes fans root for them as a couple. Mindy Kaling understands why, admitting that if she were a viewer, she’d feel the same way. She explained to Good Housekeeping in 2019 that choosing B.J. Novak as a godfather wasn’t just a friendly gesture – they’ve become more like family than just friends.

After their divorce was finalized in 2011, the former couple easily continued to raise their son, Bronx. The Fall Out Boy singer has praised his ex-wife, calling her a fantastic mother.

Okay, so is she finally over Joe Jonas? He’s been saying they’re just “really friendly” now, which, honestly, is a little hard to believe, but he keeps insisting they have a “good relationship.” I’m trying not to read too much into it, but… a good relationship? After everything?! I need details!

I remember when Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter first met – it was on the set of Dexter back in 2006! They didn’t become a couple right away, but by 2008, they were definitely an item. Sadly, they divorced in 2011, but I was so glad to hear Jennifer say a few years later that they still had nothing but love and respect for each other. It’s nice to see exes handle things so gracefully.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are famously friendly exes, and their daughters – Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout – have helped them maintain that bond. So, it wasn’t surprising to anyone that they decided to quarantine together in Idaho during the pandemic. Sounds like they even had some fun with a dance party!

Even four years after their 2014 divorce, Jennifer Lopez continued to praise her ex-husband, the father of her twins, Max and Emme. In a 2018 interview on Sunday Today, she explained that Marc Anthony had been a significant source of confidence during their marriage. He recognized her insecurities and constantly encouraged her, telling her she was a talented singer and urging her not to listen to anyone who said otherwise. Lopez expressed deep respect for him, considering him one of the greatest singers ever.

Despite facing personal challenges, the actress remains supportive of her ex-husband and former Scream colleague. Eight years after their 2010 divorce, she shared on Running Wild With Bear Grylls that it was a surprisingly amicable split. They’ve successfully co-parented their daughter, Coco, and maintain a good relationship.

Although their relationship ended in 2007, they still had great chemistry on screen when they starred together in the 2011 film Bad Teacher.

Although their 2013 breakup was difficult at first, the actors have reached a point where they can vacation together as a group. Speaking to LaPalme Magazine, the Twilight star shared that he enjoys a good relationship with his ex-wife’s husband, and mentioned a 2017 trip to Cancun where they were joined by Dave Abrams, Peter’s fiancée Lily Anne Harrison, and their three daughters, Luca, Lola, and Fiona. He explained that relationships evolve, and even though they’re no longer together, it doesn’t diminish the love they share.

Even though they unexpectedly separated in September 2012, the couple worked hard to appear supportive of each other for the sake of their children. In a 2014 interview with Howard Stern, she explained that she and Will remained close friends and were successfully co-parenting. She didn’t view their ten-year marriage as a failure, believing that all relationships face challenges.

The Grammy-winning artist and her ex-husband, who officially divorced in January 2024, have maintained a friendly relationship while raising their son, Hayes. They even live just five minutes apart, making it easy to share parenting responsibilities.

“Our stops are really easy,” Maren told The Zoe Report in May 2025, “and we’ll have family dinners.”
