A Hunger Games alum is dealing with legal troubles.
Ethan Jamieson, known for playing the male tribute from District 4 in the 2012 film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ novel, has been arrested on assault charges, according to reports from TopMob News.
On March 22nd around 9:52 p.m., police in Raleigh, North Carolina, arrested the former child star after responding to a report of gunfire, according to police Lieutenant David Davis.
According to police, the victim said someone on an electric bike shot at their car while they were driving. There were two other people in the car at the time.
Police have identified Jamieson as the person who fired a single shot at the victims’ car. He was arrested on March 23rd.
According to Wake County Sheriff’s Office records obtained by TopMob News, Jamieson has been charged with three counts of attempted murder using a deadly weapon. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 30th.

According to an arrest report obtained by TopMob News, he was arrested in March 2025 for resisting a police officer.
Before becoming known for The Hunger Games, Jamieson started his acting career with a guest appearance on One Tree Hill in 2009. He then starred in the 2010 TV movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16. His most recent acting role was in a 2013 episode of Justified.

Josh Hutcherson actually considered retiring from acting relatively early in his career. Soon after becoming famous for The Hunger Games, he wasn’t sure if he wanted to act professionally long-term. In a 2012 interview with LancasterOnline, he said he simply wanted to live a normal life.
He was also surprised by how popular The Hunger Games became, with stars like Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. Although his character died early in the first movie, he was amazed at how many fans wanted his autograph at the premiere, calling it “really cool” to be noticed.
He said he was aware the books were well-liked, but he hadn’t anticipated the movie would be such a huge success.
