Everyone’s Favourite SEGA Character, Red from Angry Birds, Now Available in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is expanding its lineup of characters with a new addition: Red, the popular bird from Angry Birds! Players can now race as this iconic character in the already diverse kart racing game.

It’s been a while since SEGA bought Rovio, the company behind Angry Birds, so it’s not surprising to see Red, one of their characters, appear in the new Sonic racing game, which features characters from different worlds.

I’m so excited Red is finally here! And the best part? Like all the other cool stuff SEGA adds, he’s completely free – no extra cost at all!

This character includes a personal vehicle called the Super Roaster, plus unique emotes and sound effects. You’ll also get three Angry Birds-themed songs to play on the Jukebox.

CrossWorlds is adding several new playable characters, including Red, available at no cost. Players can also look forward to Goro Majima, as seen in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and the popular character Arle from Puyo Puyo.

Majima is slated to arrive later this month, and Arle will follow sometime in May.

More premium downloadable content is on the way for CrossWorlds, including packs based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar Legends. Release dates for these packs haven’t been announced yet.
