Just eight days after becoming available for free streaming, Peacock has cancelled the show ‘The Copenhagen Test‘.
This thrilling new spy series stars Simu Liu as Alexander Hale, a former soldier and intelligence operative. Set in the near future, the show centers around Hale’s shocking discovery that his brain has been hacked, allowing his enemies to monitor his every thought and experience.
The show first launched on Peacock in the US on December 27, 2025, and then became available to viewers in the UK on Channel 4 on April 8, 2026.
But according to Variety, the series won’t be returning for additional episodes.
The first season, consisting of eight episodes, was generally well-received by critics, achieving a 71% score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it didn’t seem to gain significant popularity as a streaming series.

The show was watched for a total of 373 million minutes between December 29th and January 4th, according to data from Nielsen reported by Variety.
The series briefly reached number 10 on Nielsen’s chart of top streaming shows, but it didn’t stay there and didn’t return to the top 10 in later weeks.
