The sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will feature two confirmed major villains, promising exciting and large-scale conflicts.
What two villains will appear in TMNT: Mutant Mayhem 2?
At CinemaCon 2026, Seth Rogen announced that Shredder and Krang—two of the most famous villains from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—will be in the upcoming sequel.
It’s not surprising to see Shredder in the new movie – he had a quick cameo at the end of the first one. Director and writer Jeff Rowe mentioned a few years ago that Shredder would be a central villain, as the film is designed to emphasize its antagonists. As the turtles’ primary enemy in the franchise, Shredder typically leads the Foot Clan. He’s a dangerous fighter, known for his armored suit and the metal blades on his hands.
Krang is a welcome and new addition to the cast. Alongside Shredder, he’s one of the most famous characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, appearing in many different versions of the story. Originally, Krang was an alien conqueror whose physical body was destroyed, leaving only his brain – which often requires a robotic body to function. He’s frequently depicted as an ally of Shredder.
We don’t yet know who will voice both characters, but that information should be available soon. The release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2 is August 13, 2027.

The movie also boasted a fantastic supporting cast, including Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, John Cena as Rocksteady, Jackie Chan as Splinter, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Seth Rogen as Bebop, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko, and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.
