Weekend Games, the publisher, and Upstream Arcade, the team behind Hellboy: Web of Wyrd, have revealed their new game, Echobreaker. This fast-paced, skill-based game is designed for speedrunners and is scheduled to release on PC via Steam in 2026.
Here is an overview of the game, via Weekend Games:
About
You’re the pilot of a powerful, armored vehicle, and your job for TDS Industries is straightforward: finish each test track as quickly as you can. Risk damage to your vehicle as you navigate the bright, futuristic science facility in Echobreaker and compete for the top spot on the worldwide leaderboard.
Every stage is incredibly challenging and puts you under intense pressure, mirroring the stress of actual combat. You can defeat enemies to get a quick speed boost, or tackle each course as a fast-paced puzzle, choosing risky but efficient paths to improve your overall time.
Your ship’s Temporal Echo Drive is incredibly powerful, but can be unpredictable. It lets you slow down time and pull off tricky landings by entering Echo State. You’ll also have access to time-bending power-ups and double jumps, so use every tool at your disposal to succeed.
