Why Meghan Trainor Is Cancelling Her Tour

Meghan Trainor is all about putting herself first.

As a mom, I totally get how life changes quickly! Just three months after welcoming my sweet daughter Mikey with my husband Daryl Sabara, I’ve had to make a really tough call. After a lot of soul-searching and honest conversations, I’ve decided to cancel my upcoming ‘Get in Girl’ tour, which was supposed to start June 12th in Michigan. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it felt like the right one for my family and me right now.

Meghan shared on Instagram that she’s overwhelmed trying to manage everything right now – finishing a new album, getting ready for a tour, and adjusting to life with their new baby girl, bringing their family to a total of five. She explained she needs to focus on being home with her family at this time.

The 32-year-old, who shares 5-year-old Riley and 2-year-old Barry with her partner Daryl, understood that her decision might upset her fans and apologized for any disappointment. However, she felt it was the best choice, not only for herself but also for her family.

She promised to return quickly and expressed her excitement for people to hear her new album. She said she was incredibly proud of the record and deeply thankful for all the love and support she’d received.

Meghan is releasing her new album, Toy With Me, on April 24th. She’s openly shared that she’s been prioritizing self-love, which is especially important given her busy life as a mother of three.

She recently told Us Weekly that prioritizing mental health is key for her. She openly shared that she takes antidepressants, attends weekly therapy sessions, and even tried couples therapy when it was helpful. She also revealed a recent ADHD diagnosis and is proactively getting comprehensive health testing – including blood and stool samples – to ensure she’s feeling her best.

She explained that she doesn’t hesitate to ask for assistance, always looking for ways to grow and get better. She admits she can’t be good at everything and wishes she could, but recognizes her limitations.

Oh my gosh, Meghan Trainor said it herself – her husband, Daryl, is a huge reason she finally feels good about herself! Seven years together and he still makes her feel confident? It’s just the sweetest thing ever! Seriously, they’re couple goals, and it’s amazing to see how supportive he is of her, especially with everything she does. I’m so happy she found someone who loves her for exactly who she is!

She described feeling secure and loved by Daryl, saying they share a mutual and intense connection. She feels confident that she is his main focus, and he is hers.

In October 2016, Meghan Trainor revealed she was dating Daryl Sabara by posting a photo of them together on Instagram.

Daryl proposed to Meghan on her 24th birthday in December 2017, and it was exactly what she’d hoped for. She shared on Instagram that he proposed under a beautiful arch of Christmas lights, and surprised her by having all her family and friends there to celebrate with them. She called him ‘the love of my life’.

I was so thrilled when Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara finally tied the knot on December 23rd, 2018! I remember reading her interview with People magazine, and she just sounded so happy. She said it was the start of an amazing new chapter, and that she’d gotten everything she could have ever hoped for. It was seriously the sweetest thing!

In a 2019 interview on TopMob’s Just the Sip with Justin Sylvester, Meghan described how her husband, Daryl, helped build her confidence. She said, “When I’m feeling down, he always knows how to make things better.” She also shared a sweet detail about their connection: “If I’m watching TV and get lost in thought, he notices and asks me what I’m thinking about. It’s like having the best therapy right there with him.”

At the 2019 Grammys, Meghan happily talked about being newly married. She jokingly said on Live From the Red Carpet that she and her husband are both very much in love, and he’s incredibly romantic—it’s almost too sweet to handle!

Meghan and Daryl announced in October 2020 that they were expecting their first child. Speaking on Today, the singer shared, “My family is really excited!” She explained that due to COVID-19 restrictions, she had to attend appointments alone, but she was recording everything to share with them.

Meghan has expressed a strong desire for twins or triplets, ideally having them all at once. She jokingly said she wants to ‘get it all done at one time’ and have a doctor implant them, meaning she wants to complete her family quickly with multiple babies at once.

Baby Riley made his debut on Feb. 8, 2021, just under a week before his Valentine’s Day due date.

Meghan shared on Instagram that she received a wonderful Valentine’s Day gift from Daryl Sabara, announcing the birth of their child, Riley.

Meghan and Daryl celebrated the birth of their second child, Barry, on July 1, 2023 – a special day as it also marked seven years since their first date.

Meghan shared that her baby weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces at birth. He was delivered via C-section after being positioned sideways, but the delivery went wonderfully. She was so happy to finally have skin-to-skin contact with her baby and expressed gratitude to the amazing doctors and nurses who cared for them.

The couple used to have two toilets next to each other, but they had to change things a bit when they moved to a new home.

Meghan described their new bathroom on the Armchair Expert podcast in 2024, explaining that the toilet and bidet face each other. She said it’s a small space, meaning they’ll be very close together – ‘knees to knees’ – which is exactly what she wants so she can see her husband.

I’m so thrilled to share some wonderful news! Meghan and Daryl recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Mikey Moon Trainor, into their family on January 18th, 2026, with the help of a surrogate. It’s such a joyous occasion, and I know they’re over the moon!

This has been such a beautiful journey for us, and after lots of talks with our doctors, we felt this was the safest path to growing our family. We are absolutely head-over-heels in love with our sweet baby girl! Our older children, Riley and Barry, were so thrilled and even got to help pick out her middle name. Now, we’re just looking forward to enjoying some precious family time together. Sending all our love to everyone!
