The recent preview of Metro 2039 for Xbox has passed, and now all attention is focused on what’s next. The Xbox Games Showcase and a dedicated presentation for Gears of War: E-Day are happening on June 7th. The Coalition, the game’s developer, will share gameplay and details, but fans are wondering how much they’ll actually see, given this is their biggest project to date. Fortunately, according to Xbox’s Matt Booty, we can expect a significant amount of new information.
During the Official Xbox Podcast, it was announced that the next Direct presentation will be around 30 minutes long. They mentioned that after the Gears Direct, they plan to have a full 30 minutes of content, which is exciting.
I’m really enthusiastic about the game and everyone working on it. We’ve got a lot to show – a full 30 minutes of content – and I think people are going to love it.
I doubt he’s going to reveal everything the developers are planning, but it’s exciting! There’s been talk that Microsoft is aiming to release E-Day later this year, so I’m really expecting to finally hear a launch date soon. Plus, Matt Searcy, the creative director, pretty much hinted that the game will have multiplayer, which makes me wonder if we might get a beta to test it out beforehand!
I’m really hoping Gears of War: E-Day will launch on PlayStation 5 at the same time as Xbox and PC, like Fable did. But it could also release later, similar to what happened with Forza Horizon 6. Apparently, Microsoft is still figuring out if it’ll be exclusive to their platforms. Nothing’s confirmed yet, but I’m keeping an eye out for more news!
