Good news for fans of Demon Slayer! The first part of the series’ final arc, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, is coming to home video after its theatrical run. Anime enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting news on when they could revisit Tanjiro and his friends’ fight against Muzan. While a release date has been announced, there’s a slight catch to this exciting news that shonen fans will want to know.
Fans in Japan will be able to buy Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle on Blu-Ray and DVD starting July 29th. This release marks the first part of the movie series that will conclude the popular Demon Slayer story. While Ufotable’s announcement is exciting, it doesn’t yet reveal when or where the latest Demon Slayer film will be available to stream. Since previous Demon Slayer seasons have appeared on various platforms, viewers are hoping to find out if it will be on Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, or other streaming services. Hopefully, news about the streaming release will be announced soon.
Demon Slayer’s Mysterious Future

Now that Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has a release date on Blu-Ray and DVD, fans are eager for news about the next two Demon Slayer movies. We still don’t know the titles of these upcoming films, or when they’ll be released in theaters. A previous report claimed they would come out in 2027 and 2029, but Crunchyroll denied this. Since then, there’s been no official information. Considering the events in the original manga, these movies promise to be the most action-packed battles of the series yet.
While fans are eager for more stories about Tanjiro and the Hashira, the creator of Demon Slayer, Koyoharu Gotouge, hasn’t indicated any plans to continue the series. The story concluded in 2020 with a satisfying ending, leading many to believe that’s the final chapter. Although Weekly Shonen Jump has recently wrapped up other long-running series, the immense and growing popularity of Demon Slayer makes a return very appealing. Fortunately, Ufotable still has two more chances to showcase the battles against Muzan and his powerful Upper Moons. Even after the anime finishes, Demon Slayer‘s impact will undoubtedly last for years to come.
