Alaina Scott isn’t going to lose herself in this moment.
As a lifestyle observer, it warms my heart to share that Eminem’s eldest daughter, Alaina Marie Mathers, is absolutely loving being a new mom! She and her husband, Matt Moeller, welcomed their little one, Scottie Marie Moeller, on April 14th, and she’s clearly soaking up every precious moment with her new baby.
On April 16th, Alaina announced the arrival of her baby on Instagram, writing, ‘My heart outside my body – she’s everything and more. Welcome to the world, my sweet darling!’
The 33-year-old woman, whose mother was Dawn Scott (the late sister of Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Mathers), shared how her sisters, Hailie Scott, 30, and Stevie Scott, 23, influenced the name she chose for her new baby.
Alaina, who was adopted by Eminem years ago, announced the name of her baby, Scottie, saying it was a tribute to the ‘Scott sisters’ – the women who have deeply impacted her life. She hopes Scottie will create her own meaning with the name and always feel loved by her parents and aunties.
She also made sure to share a sweet note for her husband.
Alaina wrote to her husband, expressing disbelief and joy over their new baby. She thanked him for the ‘greatest gift of her life’ and shared her endless love.
The new mother also posted a picture of her and Matt with their baby, Scottie. Scottie was wearing a white onesie with her name stitched on it, and a matching bow in her hair.

Alaina playfully covered Scottie’s face with a white heart emoji while they relaxed on a blanket. A sign nearby showed Scottie weighed seven pounds and four ounces at birth.
She shared a sweet photo of their family – the happy new parents beaming as they held their baby girl, and Matt sporting a “Girl Dad” hat.
As we built our home, we wrote a prayer on the walls, hoping to have a healthy baby and get good news in 2025. It feels like everything has come full circle because those same walls were where I told Matt our prayers had been answered, and it’s where we’ll raise our daughter.

As we built our house, we wrote a prayer on the walls, hoping for a baby and a positive pregnancy test in 2025. It feels incredible because those same walls were where I told Matt our prayers had been answered, and it’s where we’ll raise our daughter – a perfect, heartwarming moment.

Kimberly Ann Scott, originally from Michigan, was Eminem’s girlfriend in high school. They had a daughter, Hailie Jade, in 1995.
I’ve followed Eminem and Kim’s story for years, and it’s been incredibly public. They were married from 1999 to 2001, and even tried again briefly in 2006. Their relationship was really intense, and Eminem has definitely channeled a lot of it into his music – you can hear it in songs like ’97 Bonnie & Clyde,’ ‘Puke,’ and ‘Bad Husband.’ It’s pretty raw and honest, honestly.
Kim described a recurring cycle in her relationship, explaining in a 2007 interview with 20/20 that they typically enjoyed two good years together before hitting a rough patch. She felt they hadn’t reached that two-year mark yet and didn’t want to push things forward too quickly.
However, Kim noted that Eminem has always been an “excellent” father.
“He loves the kids very much,” she shared. “He’s always lending a helping hand.”

Eminem and Kim had their daughter, Hailie, on December 25, 1995. The rapper has said that her birth motivated him to get his life on track.
In 2001, Eminem told Q magazine that everything he was working on was to secure his daughter Hailie’s future, specifically to pay for her college education.
She grew up largely in the Detroit area, living with Eminem during her teenage years. Later, she went to Michigan State University to study psychology, where she met her future husband, Evan McClintock. They got engaged in 2023 and married in May 2024.
Eminem shared in a 2020 interview with Mike Tyson that his daughter, Hailie Jade, graduated college with a 3.9 GPA and that he’s very proud of her accomplishments.
I was so thrilled to hear that Hailie and Evan were expecting their first child back in October 2024! And then, in March 2025, they welcomed a beautiful baby boy – Elliot Marshall McClintock. What wonderful news for their little family!

Born on Feb. 22, 1993, Alaina is the daughter of Kim’s sister Dawn Scott.
In the early 2000s, Eminem took legal guardianship of his niece because her mother was battling addiction. He explained to Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had full custody of his niece and shared custody of his daughter, Hailie. He’d always been a constant presence in Hailie’s life, and his niece had been living with him and Kim since she was a baby, often joining them wherever they were.
Alaina Marie Mathers, who was primarily raised by Eminem, considers him a father figure and asked him to walk her down the aisle when she married Matt Moeller in June 2023.
Oh my gosh, after the wedding she told People magazine that he absolutely wouldn’t have missed it for the world! And it was so sweet – Hailie was a Maid of Honor! She was just glowing, and she said everything, everything, wouldn’t have happened without her dad. She said she felt so incredibly blessed, and honestly, watching them all, I totally understood. It was just… perfect.
Her mother passed away in 2016 at the age of 41.
In October 2025, she revealed that she was pregnant with her and Matt’s first child, a baby girl.

Kim and her boyfriend at the time, Eric Hartter, had Stevie on April 16, 2002. Eminem later legally adopted Stevie in 2005, after he and Kim got back together.
I was so thrilled when Stevie publicly shared their identity as nonbinary in August 2021! They made a TikTok video explaining that they’re comfortable with any and all pronouns, which I think is amazing and really empowering. It just felt so authentic and I’m happy they felt safe enough to share that with the world.
They added in the caption, “forever growing and changing.”

Born in 1955 at a military base in Kansas, Debbie is the mother of Eminem.
In her 2008 memoir, My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem, she revealed she married Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., the father of the artist known as Eminem, when she was just 15 years old. Sixteen months later, she became pregnant with Eminem and moved to Michigan to be near her grandmother.
The difficult relationship between Debbie and Eminem has appeared in his music, notably in his 2002 song “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.” In the song, he claimed his mother struggled with prescription pill abuse during his childhood, a claim she refuted in her autobiography.
She wondered, ‘What mother wants to be seen as someone dependent on medication and government assistance?’ She explained that none of the accusations were true, but the lies continued to grow, eventually leading to a breakdown in her relationship with Marshall.
Eminem later said he regretted making his family problems public. In his 2013 song “Headlights,” he admitted he didn’t consider the impact of his words, rapping, “I didn’t think about who I hurt with what I said, and my mom probably suffered the most.”
Nelson died at the age of 69 in 2024 following a battle with cancer.
