Zayn Malik Shares Update After Being “Unexpectedly” Hospitalized

Zayn Malik is rebounding from a health scare.

The 33-year-old musician shared details about a recent hospital stay and thanked his fans on the day his fifth album, Konnakol’s, came out.

On April 17th, Zayn shared a message with fans on Instagram, thanking them for their constant love and support. He explained that he’s had a difficult week and is still recovering, and he’s upset he won’t be able to see them. He expressed his gratitude for their understanding, saying he wouldn’t be where he is today without them.

Zayn shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed – wearing a gown and with an IV in his arm – along with a message. He also expressed his gratitude to the doctors and nurses who were caring for him.

He expressed his gratitude to the amazing hospital team – the doctors, nurses, cardiologists, management, administrative staff, and everyone who has supported him, both in the past and currently – calling them all “legends!”

Zayn, who has a 5-year-old son named Khai with his ex-partner Gigi Hadid, recently canceled a listening event and Q&A with Banquet Records because he wasn’t feeling well. He didn’t share details about what was wrong.

Zayn announced to ticket holders that he’s unwell and has to postpone his trip to the UK this week. He and his team are working on rescheduling the Q&A event and will share the new dates soon. He also mentioned he’s arranging something special for everyone who has a ticket. He thanked fans for their understanding and support.

Fans were sympathetic to the artist, known as “Dusk Till Dawn,” and showed their support with a chalk drawing outside the concert venue where he was scheduled to appear.

“Get well soon,” the fans wrote, as seen in a photo posted by Banquet Records. “We love you Zayn.”

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that many girls are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being a woman. This often leaves them dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

 

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia, which developed after wearing very tight pants. A hernia happens when there’s a gap in the abdominal or groin muscles.

She messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “You haven’t tweeted in a while!” Then, jokingly, she added, “Have you ever thought maybe I wore such tight pants six months ago that I got a hernia and I’ve been afraid to mention it?”

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery to fix a nearly ruptured appendix.

Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained that his appendix had a perforation – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

During a soccer game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder for Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, before suddenly collapsing. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.

After receiving initial treatment from medical staff at the game, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests. League officials reported she was in stable condition and fully conscious.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 still cause him problems today.

“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I experience spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the past year, actually.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying, “My body has a few quirks and isn’t quite working as it should.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He said he was in so much pain he had to crawl to get help, and the pain got worse during a road trip with a friend.

Let me share something pretty personal with you. Last year, I had a really frightening experience while having breakfast with Justin. The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also went through a difficult time. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the virus affected nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult for him to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually disappeared. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary but assuring everyone he would be completely fine and that she was grateful he was on the mend.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. He explained that he was in Atlanta when he suffered a severe headache and asked for aspirin. Before he could take it, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, they discovered he’d had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.

After being rushed to the hospital and undergoing a brain scan, she was diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. It was discovered she had an aneurysm, a rupture in an artery. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, describing the pain as excruciating.

During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, leaving her unable to speak coherently. Fortunately, the aphasia subsided after a week, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month. However, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown, requiring a second surgery.

This second procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull. Thankfully, Emilia is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared her gratitude for her family’s support after she experienced a stroke in January 2024. She immediately reached out to them, sending a text and a picture, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told Will Marfuggi of TopMob News in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, other health issues – including problems with her lupus and failing kidneys – required a longer hospital stay. Cori is now recovering well, saying she’s “doing great” and has been working to regain some motor skills. She’s thankful for her family’s unwavering support during a difficult time.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she revealed she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours – and persistent stomach pain. She described a confusing process of receiving conflicting diagnoses from various doctors.

Determined to find answers, Woodley, who prefers to keep her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being spanned a decade.

She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body.

Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now doing well. “It was a journey that ultimately physically resolved itself, and I am very healthy,” she shared happily.
