Guide: These 15+ New PS5, PS4, and PS Plus Games Are Coming Out Next Week (20th-26th April)

Following a busy few weeks, the selection of new games for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 next week is a bit quieter.

I was really excited about a couple of things! Vampire Crawlers, which is like a follow-up to a deck-building game I already love, definitely caught my eye. And Tides of Tomorrow looks super interesting – it’s a multiplayer game that’s trying some really new things, which is always cool to see.

Here’s everything coming out next week.

New PS5, PS4 Games Next Week (20th-26th April)

  • Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch (20th April – PS5, PS4): “Brawl your way through the streets and mall in the View Askewniverse as Jay and Silent Bob where you unleash a dizzying array of irreverent combos, special moves, collect and summon assists, in this over-the-top beat ‘em up. You’ll need to harness every ounce of smoke-fueled creativity to get past the throngs of hockey-stick wielding teenage thugs, dookie demons, hipsters with babies, old grumpy danglers and massive, movie-inspired boss battles.”
  • Saint Slayer: Spear of Sacrilege (20th April – PS5, PS4): “The year is 1698. A mysterious figure named Father Pacer has shattered the peace negotiated after the War of the Grand Alliance, obsessively and violently stealing Catholic relics throughout the Holy Roman Empire. Can the ex-soldier-turned-farmer Rudiger protect his people from a power-mad priest and his horde of monsters and minions? Can he become Saint Slayer?”
  • Drop Duchy: Complete Edition (21st April – PS5): “Drop Duchy takes on the iconic geometric puzzle gameplay we all know and love with a fresh perspective: instead of simply clearing lines, you’ll be thoughtfully building a realm using pieces of various shapes and types to overcome enemy challenges.”
  • Vampire Crawlers (21st April – PS5): “In a dark world, a new adventure begins. Explore maps, level up powers, kill monsters. Find treasures.”
  • Dark Hours (22nd April – PS5): “You and your crew were ready for the perfect heist, until something went terribly wrong. Right after breaking in, the power cuts out and you realize something isn’t right. You’re trapped inside the building you came to rob… and you’re not alone. A monster has taken over the place and you’re its next prey. Will you manage to escape? Will you survive this apocalyptic night?”
  • GluMe (22nd April – PS5, PS4): “Get ready for GluMe, a sliding puzzle game where you control a slime, and any friends you pick up along the way. Move through top-down grid stages, collecting gems across 80 unique puzzles of growing size and complexity.”
  • Tides of Tomorrow (22nd April – PS5): “In a flooded world struggling to survive, you embark on a singleplayer-mission – yet you’ll never be alone. You’ll constantly feel the presence of other Tidewalkers through the echoes of those that came before you.”
  • Casual Loop (23rd April – PS5): “Exo-archaeologist Bale arrives on Tor Ulsat with his colleague Jen, an exo-linguist, to study the ruins of the lost Tor civilisation. But when he unwittingly activates the Chronolith – an ancient alien device – reality shatters. Jen vanishes, and Bale is trapped in a fractured world where time loops and echoes of the past and future bleed together.”
  • Dragon Is Dead (23rd April – PS5): “The black dragon [Guernian], who once faced down the gods, has fallen. From the rift he fled before his death, an unholy energy has spread across the world, and life is undergoing a bizarre mutation. People call it Corruption and live their days in fear, but few know its trustworthy source and full extent.”
  • GAME The Strongest Job Is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage, but an Appraiser (Provisional)! ~Dungeon and Mystery Girl~ (23rd April – PS5, PS4): “Dive into a fast-paced arena shooter where the controls are simple but the battles test your strategy!”
  • Kiln (23rd April – PS5): “Double Fine Productions presents Kiln, a pottery power-fantasy that celebrates both Creativity and Destruction: the pleasure that comes from both making beautiful things, and then smashing those things to smithereens. Create your pot, grab your friends, and join a team of colorful spirits who face off against one another in online arenas, where the ceramic creations you sculpt on a pottery wheel become the bodies you bring into battle.”
  • Kingdom’s Return: Time-Eating Fruit and the Ancient Monster (23rd April – PS5): “Kingdom’s Return is an action RPG where you’ll adventure to restore your fallen kingdom. Collect materials in 2D side-scrolling adventure stages, then use them in the strategy part to rebuild your kingdom and power up your characters!”
  • Sudden Strike 5 (23rd April – PS5): “We’ve just taken the bridge at Remagen – made a breakthrough they never saw coming. Speed was our ally. The day was chill, no snow luckily, but nevertheless our breath was forming clouds in the crisp air. And yet, we took to action, flanked their Pak 40 positions with our Shermans, locked down the east bank with a barrage by 75mm M1 Howitzer and pushed forward before they could react.”
  • Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes (24th April – PSVR2): “For the first time, experience the disturbing universe of Little Nightmares in first person, through your own eyes, in VR. Every sight, sound and shadow becomes part of your reality, drawing you deeper into a twisted world where nightmare and truth blur. Each interaction with your surroundings reveals intricate puzzles, hidden paths, and secrets buried in darkness.”
  • Traysia (24th April – PS5, PS4): “Dreaming of becoming a world-traveling adventurer, a young boy named Roy left his hometown. Having known neither travel nor battle, the boy’s adventure now begins.”
