Mint soundtrack: Every song featured in the BBC drama

Charlotte Regan directed several popular music videos before creating the TV series Mint and Scrapper. Because of her background, it’s no surprise that Mint has a fantastic soundtrack.

Beyond its beautiful visuals and storytelling, the BBC series Mint expertly captures the dreamy feeling of first love. It does this through creative camera work, thoughtful use of setting, and by allowing the audience to fill in some of the details themselves. The show’s tense and atmospheric soundtrack further enhances the story and keeps us focused on Shannon’s experiences.

In an interview with TopMob, Regan explained her vision for the show: she wants it to feel like Shannon is telling the story. This idea influences everything, including the music, which comes from a playlist Shannon would listen to. For example, the fight scene in episode three is visualized as Shannon imagines it happening at home, seeing her dad as a heroic figure doing important work.

I wanted the work to feel like it was seen through the eyes of a child, offering a simple and innocent perspective.

But, what songs are featured in the series and what is the theme song of Mint? Read on to find out.

The theme song for Mint is Switch by Irish singer and rapper Biig Piig.
