Patrick Muldoon Teased Movie With Chris Hemsworth Before Death

Patrick Muldoon was looking forward to a new chapter.

Just two days before he passed away at 57, the former Days of Our Lives actor talked about a new crime movie he was helping to produce.

Patrick announced on Instagram on April 17th that he’s joined the cast of the new film KOCKROACH, directed by Matt Ross and starring Chris Hemsworth, Taron Edgerton, Zazzie Beetz, and Alec Baldwin. He shared that filming is currently underway in Australia.

This movie is based on the novel of the same name by William Lashner. The story centers around a bizarre transformation: a human who becomes a cockroach and rises to power as a crime boss in New York City.

Filming for his new movie, Kockroach, started earlier this month, and he’s also preparing for the digital release of his film Dirty Hands on April 24th, where he acted with Denise Richards.

Patrick passed away on April 17th, according to his manager, as reported by Variety. His sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ he suffered a heart attack while showering at his Beverly Hills home. His girlfriend, Miriam Rothbart, discovered him unresponsive on the bathroom floor.

After the sudden passing of the actor from Melrose Place, friends and colleagues shared heartfelt messages remembering him.

Shana posted a video of her and her brother singing together on Instagram Stories, and wrote a sweet message saying, “I love you forever my Boo.”

Alison Sweeney, who acted alongside Austin Reed as Samantha Brady on Days of Our Lives, also shared her thoughts on her friend and what he accomplished.

On April 20th, she shared that Pat was an exceptionally talented, kind, and generous person. She remembered how lucky she was to have worked with him when she joined Days, noting that he immediately made her feel comfortable. He always brought a special charm and sense of humor to the workplace, and she said he was a truly gifted individual who would be deeply missed.

The Days family kept sending their support, and Lisa Rinna, who played his sister Billie Reed on the show, shared an old photo of them together on Instagram with a broken heart emoji.
