5 Coronation Street spoilers next week: Murder Week concludes with special, standalone episodes

Coronation Street is preparing for a creatively presented week of episodes, revisiting the day of Carla and Lisa Connor-Swain’s wedding (featuring Alison King and Vicky Myers).

The first four episodes establish the setting at the Underworld party and then focus on the potential victims: Theo Silverton, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Maggie Driscoll, and Megan Walsh. We see glimpses of their individual stories as the night unfolds.

With fireworks illuminating the sky above Weatherfield to mark the first same-sex wedding on the ITV soap, Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) unexpectedly discovers a dead body.

But who has died, and who has blood on their hands?

Here’s a look at what’s happening on Coronation Street from Monday, April 27th to Friday, May 1st.

5 Coronation Street spoilers for next week

1. Monday: Todd Grimshaw tries to outrun Theo Silverton

Todd Grimshaw was getting ready for a trip to Thailand when Theo unexpectedly entered his apartment. Luckily, George Shuttleworth arrived moments later, and the two of them were able to subdue Theo and get away.

Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, must deliver the unfortunate news that he’s missing when the incident is reported to the police.

I was on the edge of my seat! Just as Todd was finally getting away in the cab to the airport, he realized he’d left his phone back at the apartment. Then, boom, Theo steps out of the shadows on Victoria Street, holding it right there. Talk about a tense moment!

Will Todd go to extreme lengths to rid Theo from his life?

2. Tuesday: Carl Webster plots his final act of revenge

Okay, so Debbie Webster – played brilliantly by Sue Devaney, as always – just dropped a bombshell on her husband, Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), and her brother, Kevin (Michael Le Vell). Turns out she took matters into her own hands with Carl, giving him some money and basically telling him to get out of town. It’s a bold move, and I’m really curious to see how Ronnie and Kevin react – this is going to be good!

Before leaving, Carl deliberately stirs up trouble with Theo, Kevin, Abi Webster (played by Sally Carman-Duttine), and Tyrone Dobbs (played by Alan Halsall).

After getting a message from Kev, Carl secretly went to the car repair shop and messed with his car’s brakes.

Will somebody find him, and could his act of revenge have disastrous consequences?

3. Wednesday: Jodie Ramsey’s past catches up with her

Shona Platt has warned her sister, Jodie, to leave Weatherfield because she’s worried about her safety. But things change when Shona is confronted by two men who demand the return of a stolen hard drive.

Shona realizes Jodie is deeply hurt and invites her to stay. Jodie considers it, but when she finds proof that Shona was untruthful about receiving her letter, she becomes determined to get revenge.

She tries to sabotage David Platt’s marriage again, but her plan backfires and she’s left outside alone in the dark. Unbeknownst to her, someone is secretly observing her.

Okay, so our protagonist is at the police station when someone walks up to her – and let me tell you, her reaction is huge. It’s clearly someone she wasn’t expecting, and the way the scene ends, it really feels like everything could be about to fall apart for her. Talk about a cliffhanger!

4. Thursday: Will Maggie or Megan fall to their death?

I was absolutely shocked when Eva, Leanne, and Toyah basically hauled Megan into the salon flat! They were determined to get her to admit she’d been manipulating Will, and they didn’t let up until she finally confessed. It was intense to watch, honestly.

She refuses, and a scuffle ensues – which ends up with her being punched in the nose!

Desperate to find her ex, Daniel Osbourne, she’s turned away without anyone’s sympathy. While outside, she accidentally overhears a fight between Maggie and Ben Driscoll’s former wife, Melanie, and manages to secretly record a conversation revealing crucial details about what happened to Maggie’s husband, Alan.

As viewers saw during a flashback episode, Maggie pushed Alan down a staircase to his death.

When Maggie confronts Megan, a dramatic argument begins, escalating further with a surprising revelation from Megan. The conflict intensifies to a dangerous point, leaving one of them at risk of a fatal fall.

5. Betsy Swain makes a horrifying discovery as each story intertwines

Five storylines collide in a thunderous finale to Corrie’s ‘Murder Week’.

While Carla and Lisa celebrate their wedding with fireworks, a dangerous situation unfolds on the ground. Theo chases Todd through the streets, and Summer Spellman finds herself caught in the middle of the pursuit.

Tensions rise between Megan and Maggie when a secret from the past is revealed, and Jodie worries about facing consequences from her history.

Sarah unexpectedly walks in on a burglary, and Ronnie decides to deal with the situation himself. This could have serious consequences for his stepson, Carl.

Coronation Street airs weeknights at 8:30pm and from 7am on ITVX.
