Sydney Sweeney confirmed to be joined by Harry Potter legend for live-action film adaptation of beloved sci-fi anime

Netflix announced the complete cast list for its new Gundam movie, featuring stars like Sydney Sweeney, Noah Centineo, and Jason Isaacs, known for his role in the Harry Potter films.

Okay, so this movie is based on a super famous anime, and it’s all about these pilots who control giant robots – mechs, basically. They’re fighting in a war that’s been going on forever, not just on Earth, but also in space colonies orbiting the planet. It’s a really epic conflict with people on all sides caught up in it.

The film’s story begins with changing loyalties and a rising danger, forcing two characters onto a path toward conflict. They become entangled in a desperate, galaxy-spanning chase where the future of humankind hangs in the balance.

As a critic, I can honestly say this Gundam installment is a revelation. It delivers the massive, breathtaking battles you expect, but what really struck me was the surprisingly tender and personal stories woven throughout. It’s a truly epic experience, and frankly, it reimagines what a Gundam story can be – I’ve never quite seen it done like this before.

First released in 1979, the anime Mobile Suit Gundam revolutionized the mecha genre and launched a huge franchise with many sequels, movies, video games, and other related media.

I’m really excited about the full cast for this movie! Along with the already announced Sweeney, Centineo, and Isaacs, they’ve added Jackson White, Shioli Kutsuna, Nonso Anozie, Michael Mando, Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton, Oleksandr Rudynskyi, Ida Brooke, and Gemma Chua-Tran. It’s shaping up to be an incredible group of actors!

Gundam continues a remarkable hot-streak for both Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo.

After finding success with her role in The Housemaid, Sweeney recently appeared in the third season of the hit show Euphoria.

Actor Centineo will appear in the new Street Fighter movie and will also play a young John Rambo in a prequel film with David Harbour.

The new Netflix anime series Gundam comes from Jim Mickle, known for Sweet Tooth, and follows the success of other anime adaptations like One Piece, which recently released its second season.

The new Gundam movie is currently being made, but we don’t know when it will be released yet. Hopefully, when it does come out, we’ll be able to experience the promised amazing battles and large-scale visuals on the big screen.
