The popular survival game Enshrouded is getting closer to its official release on PC and consoles. It first became available in Early Access in early 2024 and has quickly become a fan favorite. While a specific date hasn’t been announced, the full version is planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Fall 2026. The game has now received its last big update while in Early Access, bringing the full launch even nearer.
The latest major update for the early access game Enshrouded, called “Forging the Path,” is now available as of April 21st. This is the final big update before the full game launch, and it includes a lot of improvements and new features. If you’re already playing the early access version, or plan to start soon, this update will enhance your experience. For those of us waiting for the PS5 version, it signals that we’re getting closer to a release date announcement for the full 1.0 version of Enshrouded.
Final Early Access Update for Enshrouded Delivers Massive Combat Overhaul, QoL Improvements, & More
Keen Games is making significant improvements to the game before its official release, based on feedback from players. The upcoming “Forging the Path” update focuses on a complete revamp of the combat system, adding more depth and giving players more meaningful choices. Each weapon will now have a unique special attack, and two-handed weapons have been completely redesigned. Enemies will also be smarter, moving from being unaware to actively engaging players, which will allow for more strategic approaches to larger groups.
The latest update for Enshrouded includes improvements to skills and a redesigned skill tree, as well as a better tutorial and starting area. The tutorial now features clearer instructions and visual enhancements to help new players learn the game faster. The quest log has been updated to better distinguish between main and side quests, and crafting and building have received several quality-of-life improvements.
The latest update to the co-op RPG Enshrouded brings a much-anticipated feature: Adventure Sharing. This allows players to easily upload and share their creations with the community. The update also includes an in-game camera for taking and sharing photos of the world of Embervale. The developers at Keen Games have plans to add even more sharing options in future updates.
This new update is a major step forward for the survival RPG, preparing it for its official release later this year.
