Troy Baker is well-known as the voice and performer behind iconic video game characters like Joel from The Last of Us and Jack Pepper from MOUSE: P.I. for Hire, but he’s now looking to create his own games.
He discussed on the Kinda Funny Gamescast that he wants to make his own original games through a studio he’s building.
Baker explains that she wants to use her experiences, both good and bad, as inspiration to create her own unique stories.
I want to share the lessons I’ve learned from working with all kinds of studios – both successful and unsuccessful – and use that knowledge to create new and exciting projects.
He envisions creating a workspace and assembling a reliable team, then collaborating with them by presenting his ideas and asking for their input on how to improve them.
Greg Miller checked on the project’s progress, but Baker explained he preferred not to hurry the process.
I’ve noticed a lot of people jump into things too quickly, and I want to avoid that mistake,” he explains. “It’s especially important to get it right since I plan to build a studio where others will be relying on my decisions.
Baker recently shared that he feels like his journey is just beginning, following up on previous statements he’s made.
He mainly discussed his acting, but hinted at wanting to explore other projects. While these plans might not come to fruition immediately, it will be fascinating to follow his progress.
