Despite being almost a year away from its June 2025 release, the animated Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters is already a huge hit and could become a major franchise. The film’s catchy music, appealing characters, and beautiful animation are driving a lot of excitement. That excitement is expected to continue, as a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters has been approved, a video game is planned for release later this year, and the characters will even be featured in special McDonald’s promotions.
Given how popular the animated movie is, it’s likely KPop Demon Hunters will become a bigger series. Netflix should definitely explore expanding it, and here are some ideas on how to do that while keeping the franchise fresh and engaging over time.
3) KPop Demon Hunters Spinoff Movies & Shows

While a sequel to KPop Demon Hunters would be fantastic, Netflix has a real opportunity to expand the story beyond just continuing the main plot. The film’s rich world and backstory open the door to exciting spinoffs focusing on different characters and time periods. Because new groups of demon hunters emerge with each generation, the franchise can explore various points in history, gradually building out its universe. Plus, characters from the first film – like the Saja Boys and the villain Gwi-Ma – could easily star in their own stories.
2) KPop Demon Hunters Games

With its exciting action sequences, KPop Demon Hunters has strong potential as a basis for various games. Ravensburger is already creating puzzles and board games, but the franchise could expand even further – a video game would be a natural fit, allowing fans to become fully immersed in the world. The premise of characters battling demons lends itself well to genres like action RPGs or fighting games. Beyond that, board games and toys offer additional ways for fans to enjoy KPop Demon Hunters outside of the films.
1) In-Person Concerts

With its catchy music, a live concert for KPop Demon Hunters feels like a natural next step for the popular series. Netflix appears to agree, as Bloomberg recently reported discussions about a worldwide tour. This would be a fantastic way to maintain fan engagement while new animated content is in development, and it would give fans a chance to connect and celebrate their love for the film together. Whether this concert experience will actually happen remains to be seen, but it’s a clever strategy for Netflix, particularly if they want to offer fans more than just what happens on screen.
