Temu Is Selling Meat—Yes, Really

Where’s the beef? Apparently, it’s at Temu.

The popular online store known for its low prices and direct shipments from China now sells meat, like ribeye steaks, pork chops, wagyu burgers, and bacon, and will deliver it right to your home.

Grumpy Butcher, a U.S. company selling high-quality frozen foods, ships these products from a nearby warehouse. They also sell through Amazon and Walmart, according to their Temu page.

In fact, the brand is Temu’s first seller of frozen foods.

As a small business owner, launching on Temu was a game-changer for me and my company, Grumpy Butcher. I remember being absolutely thrilled when we received our very first order just one day after going live! It didn’t stop there – orders quickly started pouring in, and honestly, it was a bit of a whirlwind. I even found myself right there with my team, packing Temu boxes by hand – a true testament to how quickly things took off!

According to Gorbatiuk, Temu quickly became a significant driver of the company’s online sales, accounting for 12% of them within weeks of its June 2025 launch. The platform also helped the company reach a new group of customers.

For years, we’ve primarily served customers over 55 – actually, over half of them! But something really exciting is happening with Temu. We’re now connecting with a much younger audience – millennials and Gen Z are discovering us, and it’s a fantastic shift!

He added, “We’re hiring just to keep up with Temu orders.”

Gorbatiuk emphasizes that the meat products are carefully packaged to maintain freshness. He mentioned on the Future Commerce podcast last year that there were a lot of government regulations they had to follow.

He explained that deliveries arrive at your home within a day or two, and added, “You really can’t ask for better service than that.”

By December, Temu accounted for 19 to 20 percent of Gorbatiuk’s company’s sales, and he noted that many customers were repeatedly buying from the platform.

He mentioned he recently learned someone made 25 separate purchases – 25 different items in one day.

I’ve really been focusing on healthy snacking lately, so I always make sure to have plenty of fresh fruit and raw nuts around. It’s my go-to for a little something between meals!

I’ve been doing a lot of snacking since I started working from home! Being around the fridge all day definitely makes it tempting. I’ve found that slicing up an apple is a great way to hold me over between meals. Plus, everyone in my family enjoys the crisp, satisfying crunch!

I have a really unusual snack I love: canned oysters! I know it sounds strange, but I’m totally addicted to them. They’re packed with protein, magnesium, and vitamin C, and they’re surprisingly delicious and satisfying. I usually eat them right from the can, but if I’m craving something a little more filling, I’ll have them with crackers. The combination of the crunchy cracker and the soft oyster is amazing!

I often snack on a few things like roasted almonds, sourdough toast with cashew butter and banana slices, or a smoothie. Avocado sprinkled with salt is a simple yet satisfying treat. When I have a bit more time, I love to elevate it with a poached egg and a dash of hot sauce from Big Reds.

This isn’t just any apple and peanut butter snack—there’s a method to making it perfect! It starts with thinly sliced Honeycrisp apples. Then, you gently melt the peanut butter, mix in a little honey, and stir until it’s smooth and caramel-like. This technique uses less peanut butter and, best of all, keeps your thumbs clean! It’s a surprisingly clever idea, isn’t it?

I really enjoy popcorn, especially the salty flavor! Plus, it’s a pretty light snack, so I don’t feel guilty about eating it.

I have a really unusual snack I’ve been loving lately. I melt some salted butter on a flour tortilla and then spread Nutella on top. It sounds strange, I know! But it’s basically a super simple version of a crêpe, which is why I enjoy it so much.

Half an avocado topped with a little olive oil, lemon juice, and a sprinkle of truffle salt is surprisingly delicious and filling.

Okay, don’t judge, but I’m totally obsessed! If you asked me what my ultimate comfort food is, I’d have to be honest… it’s gotta be Flavor Blasted Goldfish. Seriously, they just hit the spot! I know it’s silly, but I’m a kid at heart, and they’re amazing. LOL!
